Ok, this post by Pjure (AD Moderator) is the best I have seen to date. This post is in answer to someone's VERY valid question of how to cancel the game. The fact that they actually admit to this seems criminal...
"there is no way to completely cancel/erase your account using the dark and light website, you can switch to freedom package but that will cost 9.99$, but after that there is no monthly cost.
There are other ways to "cancel" your account but those ways are not official and they cant be found on this website.

keeping the thread open in case anyone of the other forum members want to add something.
There has been problems with the billing but in theory if you have a freedom account you should not receive any more bills or invoices.

They wont cancel your subscribtion? cancel theirs! Ring your bank or credit card company, let them know of your situation and you with to block future charges from this company. This means any time the company tries to charge your credit card they will get rejected.
Also someone said about a company refusing a refund even when you cancelled a pre-order?

For example i know that 'Visa' guarantee that if you purchase with them that you will recieve goods/services that you were sold, or your money back. Again ring your bank or credit card company let them know you purchased a goods/service and didnt recieve the product.

I am so glad I didn't even try that game. So many promises and didn't even came close...
Well, I left this part out of my little story about my troubles with Farlan/ClickandBuy, but this is how I stopped payments. I simply let my credit card expire and never updated the info with ClickandBuy. I think this pissed them off, but I told them I would not update the information until they removed the charges that I repeatedly asked for cancellation.
That's one way to stop credit card payments. Another way is to dispute the charges with the CC company, as mentioned already.
I am convinced that Farlan keeps sending invoices for payment on my account, because ClickandBuy already cancelled once and sent me verification. Shortly afterwards I was asked for payment again, for some reason. Now my ClickandBuy account is cancelled altogether, and I am hoping that this solves the problem, but I fear I will be annoyed once again because of my one time involvement with Farlan/Dark and Light.

I think that's still Mourning, they did a more thorough number on their 'customers'. But yeah, they screwed up with this game bigtime. I just removed my CC and added a fake bank account to my C&B account, let em try to get money from a country called 'Blahblahtarikishait'

I work in the banking/finance industry and yes, you can have your bank/card provider stop paying charges from a company like this. Every company that charges your card is assigned an identification number, when you want the charge to stop being paid, just let your card provider know that these are not authorized charges, and they'll block the company from making any charges. In some cases, you can even go back to previous charges and have those returned as well. Most banks, including the one I work for, will provied you with provisional credit the moment you dispute a charge.
Another problem that may arise with doing this is if the company changes the way they charge your card by setting up another company to handle these charges, and when the charge shows on your statement, it may look like the charge came from a completely different company than the one you're familiar with. This is considered fraud, and your best course of action, as the consumer, at this point is to just cancel the card and get a new one.
Yeah. They keep charging me 9.99 a month, but as I cancelled my account on click and buy they cannot actually take any money from me. I did this back when I first cancelled. So. Now I'm up to like 30 bucks. haha I just keep sending emails cussing them out and laughing at them. For people that have still gotten money taken from them I bet there is grounds for a class action lawsuit...

I am surprised they have not cancelled their involvement with Dark & Light. That partnership has to have hurt their reputation if they are indeed "reputable".

LOL There is a classic and unforgettable post here somewhere which someone took all the front page topics and pasted them into one screenshot in response to DNLs claim of a flawless release. I tried to find it dangit but gave up. Will never forget it tho. The whole thing was a collage of problem topics. Classic LOLOL I still smile at the thot of it. LOL
Ya know, DNL tried to compare itself to the likes of WOW in popularity, in fact, I believe they even stated it in one of their euro press releases even AFTER the abysmal obvious failure of this claptrap "game".

Oy, just got another bill from them for $9.99, friggin hell the total builds every month. It's the game that keeps on giving even after you cancelled it after playing 3 days.
With only a handful playing and such bad reviews and the general overall impression that DNL has made and continues to make as the worst company and game in mmo history, why do you suppose they are still stubbornly, arrogantly and ineptly continuing this facade? Ya gotta wonder just what they think they are up to or trying to prove. "bout the only thing I can think of is they can say they were up for over a year --- and like so many of their own press releases -- they can omit the fact that nobody , literally nobody is playing this game.

Of course the best thing to do would be contact your bank to cancel the subscription and cut them off at source. If you tell the bank you don't want that company to get money from your account again they'll stop all transactions for you (I did that myself with our old landlord).
It's sad that years ago this game was on my watch list and has been plagued with developer issues and awful methods even before launch. And now their morals seem just as bad.
I dont think anyone can sue them, they reside in a different country. Unless they are breaking some kind of international law or something. Duno, I hope someone does sues them to hell, so no other smart arse MMO-designer wannabe desides to create a next-gen MMO out of his carton box home.
