I actually like vanguard

I have performance issues i have been hit by bugs. But guess what i still like the game. Other than the bugs i think the game is pretty much what an mmorpg should have been like before WOW came along and changed a lot of peoples perceptions. I like WOW too i can raid Heroic instances with my guild if I CHOOSE to I CHOOSe to do quests in KE and Three rivers instead and feel that its time better spent for some reason I just cant explain.

    i like it too.

it's by no means the end all be all of mmos, but it's entertaining me for the time being.

I have also enjoyed playing Vanguard despite all the bugs and graphic problems, which so far havn't been a real issue for me. I have also liked most mmo's I have played and even though this one seems to incorparte most of its stuff from all previous mmo's it still seems fresh and if it does get updated with patches ever then thats even better, but for now it still seems fun to play.

I'm enjoying this game as well. I'm working up to seeing how it will be in the long run, but for the moment I'm enjoying it. It seems to be a lot less superficial then something like WoW and I hope it stays that way.

I'm looking forward to playing more.

That's cool.  I personally would rather play WOW thatn Van because there is something more immersive about it for me.  However, for all the negative things I have to say about Van, I am well aware that there are lots of people who like it regardless of bugs.  Different strokes.

Actually it was EQI that 'changed peoples perceptions' not for the better I might add (well except for look and feel).

Glad your having fun though....cant help feeling you are likely to be bitten in the arse at some point though.

2Hawks, for me it is the exact opposite. Vanguard feels much more immersive than WoW. I think this has to do with both graphics and the feel of freedom. WoW is a great game, but I hate the feeling of being led by the hand through its content. Vanguard also has a lot more opportunities in the game for those who persist and invest time in it. WoW though is a very good game as well and probably the most polished MMO I have every played.

    I enjoy vanguard as well.

The haters can whine all they want, atleast we won't have to put up with them in-game.

as for WOW .. .. well i wont even bother.  Lets just say its an alternative for teenagers who cant do homework.
LOL doubtful that your hypothosis is an accurate statement about WOW being just for teenagers. Lots of us older players enjoy our WOW experiences. But thank you for the complement about my age

I wanted to hate this game, I really did...I also thought the haters on here were generally a bunch of whiney r-tards, but  I didnt mind because I wanted the game to suck...but it really is all that WoW should have been and more...I dont know how it will fair against the nextgen of MMOG's, but it is pretty fun for now...

oh, and I have yet to hit all but the most minor bugs

Since launch, I have only had the mob dissappearing bug a handful of times. I'm no hardcore player though; I get in about 14 hours a week.

Still loving Vanguard, I just wish I had more time.

This game is going to last me a long time.

Now playing: VG (after a long break from MMORPGS)
Played for more than a month: Darkfall online, Vanguard SOH, Everquest, Horizons, WoW, SWG, Everquest II, Eve

I hear what you're saying and I think it is good that you enjoy it.   I really did try to like it - I loved EQ.   I think what Van tried to do was recreate the feeling of EQ but with overloaded graphics - if it had come out instead of EQ i would be wetting myself at how good it was - but remember when EQ came out it was new and really exciting... you can't get those firsts back.  Spellborn has the right idea - completely new ideas and real ingenuity.

I do hear the 'hand holding' thing a lot about WOW but couldn't disagree more.  Maybe you can 'splain what you mean by that?  I don't see it at all.

Anyhow glad you are digging Van - enjoy!
