I Think wolfs are awsome.
*GOODS*
*In General*
1.Its easy to lvl them.
2.their cheap.
3.You actually can buy a wolf with gold instead of silk.
4.they grow up and change form.
5.Their easy to control.
6.They have a good move speed.
7.You get to name them.
*In Jobs or Grinding*
8.they have a decent amount of hp and phy damage.
9.Nice to tank with if ur pure int nuker or Archer.
10.Very usefull in 1* trades and if ur a high level hunter just whip out a horse and hunt down thieves while ur on the horse, they cant run away if their 10 lvls lower.

*In General*
1.(For those who have lag & get discconected a lot) The wolf will die a lot and it costs 50k gold to revive it.
2.When you buy a wolf in low level lets say 16-20 mostly in china area the wolf will die cause of high lvl thief npc's
3.You cant use it in pvp (cape fight).
4.It grows around lvl 30 & reaches mature form at lvl 40 for some people getting to this lvl might take a while.
5.Traders doing more than 1* are more likely killed and if they have a wolf it also will die & Hunters as well if you are sure your wolf can resist heavy damage from thiefs then summon your wolf out, but if not just hunt without it.
*Warning*
Be careful when you name the wolf cause later on you cant change it and always bring potions for it(always!).
P.S: Sorry for not putting anything about thieves with wolfs I dont know much about that.

In a stable the wolf costs 1million gold. but you usually can buy it in stalls from players for lets say 700-800k gold
Cause some players get desperate that their wolf die and sell them cheap, but wolfs sold in stalls (stalls are shops that players put to sell their items while they can go afk) usually are already named but if u dont care that the wolf has already a name then i recommend u to look in stalls in Jangan & Downhang part.
Oh yah when u buy a wolf from a stable their lvl 1 but from stalls their usually lvl 10-20.

and they cost 1 million at the stable, it was already mentioned

i am re downloading it now due to problems with my computer i had to restore it back to factory settings so i am redownaloading it now i would like to met you in game silkroad maybe if u tell me your name i could figure out how to im u lol im new to silkroad and we could meet up and maybe talk about how to make money in silkroad

You can probably earn more money when you buy and sell, but i find it boring, so it's not the best way for everybody, i'd rather grind

the gold dropped it all builds up and doesnt seem to take long to get
that much, plus also when your grinding u get weapons,armor ect drops
so u can then go and sell them on and u will find its easy to make
money if u save up i had 100k then buy the end of the day i had 350k
so..... what are u waiting 4!!
Man the money amount u get from grinding isnt even close to the money amount u could get reselling.
I know people who literaly has 400million gold her name is Greenie (olympus) she even sells stuff on paypal for real money and she started by reselling weapons and elixirs.
Grinding u have to buy pots well i dont know about u guys i buy 250k amount of mp and hp pots and then horse and return scroll and after the whole grinding i get about 300k sometimes 400k IF i get items so 260k-400k=140k.
u earn 140k >.> beleive me that amount is nothing when ur high lvl.

A pet wolf maybe hard to maintain for low level like under level 25 without the help of another character or events. To buy pets either go to the stable and under pet buy 1 for 1 mil which is lvl 1 and has no name. Another way to get a pet is to look around stalls for them or look on your chats in cities but these pets can be dead and high level than you. Also these pets can be prenamed. These pets get a little hard to train after lvl 15 and if they die u have to buy a glass of life from the stable to resurect them which is 50k. These pets are at your own lvl because in trade run with 1 star difficulty they can kill your theives for you (don't try this on another person's theif or a theif player if their level is higher than or near your pet's lvl). Also for people who are pure intellegence or strength these pets will help you kill monsters faster and you can spend less hp or mp on each one of them which saves money on potions.
Is it worth it??:
For people who have their pets near their level it is.
For people who have money issues you might have to rethink this.
