A perfect representative of the breed.

Trolls are trolls for starters, both the pro and anti VG people seem to have those foaming at the mouth ready to bite your head off if you like or dislike the game.

As far as the OP goes, if those are your criteria for playing an MMO then Vanguard isn't right for you.

I am more more inclined to risk the 50 bucks and see if I like the game or not. Alas I've already used my buddy key or id give you the code

Fun Factor is what makes or breaks a game, if its not fun just play something else.

If you think that grouping sucks, I strongly suggest you stay away from every MMO that is, has been or will be produced. Oblivion is a fun RPG =)

Also it wasn't Sigil who said you can't give away buddy keys via these boards, It was the Admins here (and I am honestly surprised that even the haters aren't happy about it).

The community isn't that bad, at least not on Flamehammer. Some guy started getting a leetist attitude the other day and the community rose up and told him to go away. Generally people are helpful and decent.

Listening to other peoples opinions on something is a good idea so when you try something you have your eyes wide open at the beginning. Sometimes being aware of certain bugs and crap can make the game more fun for you because you know what to avoid or how to deal w/ it.

Why not ?? 1st reason is that many people here complain about a huge grind fest. 2nd reason is that many people complain that after L15 the solo time is mostly over. 3rd reason is that i read that many people with High End systems have problems with grafics. 4th reason is that the game has to many Bugs and should be BETA. I hate beeing a paying beta tester. 5th reason it´s to expensive. 50$ + 15$ is to much for a game in Beta state. 35$ + 12$ would be fair. So thnx alot to all the people here posting about this game on this board.
I know a lot of us have been anxiously awaiting your decision. Thanks for not keeping us in the dark any longer. The anticipation was becoming unbearable.

people always forget that only the poeple who don't like the game are trolling around on the boards because everybody else is playing it therefore you will always read more negative feedback.

    Oh really?

People who do like the game post on the official forums ... oops, sorry, forgot, VG doesn't have one, because all the negativity would be there then, can't have that, since VG is the bestestest game ever, right?

If that is true, why  are there so many glowing previews of Lord of the Rings online around here?  Maybe people are posting negative feedback about Vanguard because it warrants bad reviews.  Your theory only works if there is only one game in existence and people play it the entire time they are awake. Just because people don't like the game they are discussing at the time, doesn't mean they aren't playing any games at all.

I think Vanguard is a decent game

To the people saying it requires skill.... by all means it does not require any type of skill wat-so-ever, the combat is your standard mmo combat, press a button to activate a skill....there is nothing new in the combat department...

To the people saying there is no grind, what world are you all in? lol The quests in the game are a grind, the quests arn't even innovative at all, go kill this, go find her, go do something repetitive...

If your looking at diplomacy for a grind break... be prepared to find the most boring card game you have ever played, times that by the million times you do it....

    Currently Playing: Everything but MMORPGs
Cancelled: L2, FFXI, VSoH, LotRO, WAR, WoW
    Looking Forward To: SW:TOR

They instead decided to spread the "negativity" in fansites (visited by both, fanbois and haters).  It is not moderated like some of the people here would like you to think.  Negative post are not deleted.

I never said they were, and honestly think they shouldn't, so long as it's not vulgar or flamewar.

i often didnt listen to the forums i read, and bought the games anyway. i thought "nah it cant be that bad!"

Horizons, Asherons Call 2 just 2 examples.

i love the honest persons here that warn possible new buyers.

in maybe 6-12 month i am going to give VG a try, maybe its Downloadable by then if enough people canceled and Sigil needs money.

See you all in 6months to a year! keep giving the devs all your great ideas and keep on makeing the game better!

That's a moot point. In a year from now, i'll be playing either War Hammer or Age of Conan, and will have completely forget about Vangrind.
