Im fighting myself between buying the new EoF expansion for EQ2, which is apparently great, or Vanguard, which is new.
Im posting this on the EQ2 threads purely because im leaning more toword buying EQ2. But overall, does vanguard have the potential needed to go beyond EQ2 at this point? Of course its new, so its not going to be "better", but how does it look as a platform for a game? Is it as immersive and addictive?
Ive always been an EQ fanboy, played it for 6 years, but when i went to EQ2 at launch i was just repulsed. But i tried it again recently on a friends account and i absalutely loved all the changes theyve made, its turned out to be a great game. But vanguard is new, i was always really exited for it being released, but ive been hearing some bad things about it, and not just simple glitches, real, big, problems. Are these true?
I have a feeling that, even though you can get them both on the station pass, one is going to end up getting played more than the other. Which do you guys think?

Remember you have to own the games (and they have to be on the same station account) to be able to play them on a Station Account.
Vanguard needs a good machine for decent performance, has bugs (getting better every patch), and is generally a lot harder than EQ2. Somewhere between Eq1 and EQ2 in difficulty. So it all depends on your computer and what you are looking for in a game.
I too hated EQ2 on release and now find it a very decent game, but I am now playing Vanguard because I love being in a game from day 1 and felt capable of tolerating the bugs and actually like the difficulty level.
Eq2 Hands down is a better game.
Vanguard isn't even in the same league.
I have played every major mmo title out there.
Eq2 has it all, great game.
I agree...EQ2 is a better game.
I recently bought the game last week (Vanguard)played it to level 10 now).
I found its a fun enough games, but there are some obvious bugs, and I didn't feel the progression onto new areas like EQ or Wow etc...(I kinda got lost, wandered around).
I joined a great guild, but I think playing EQ2 will give you a better bang for your buck.
