Also a very large rumor is floating that Vangaurd is headed to the ps3 . Which will have all the P.C. players in a tizzy LOL
Wasn't there a rumor going around SWG was going to console as well? I remember seeing a ton of posts about it months after the NGE hit...
Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!
I don't think it is any surprise to anyone that the current CEO at Sony Entertainment is not a big fan of SOE and online titles, however unless Japan authorises the sale and purchase then nothing is going to happen.
Sony in general needs to cut back on expenses and cost, and generate much needed cash, however, the sale of SOE would be a massive loss of face for Sony Japan hence it makes this unlikely.
All in all, this is just my uninformed opinion so expect the press release for the purchase of SOE by NCSoft to come out tomorrow!

Funny that you mention this.
My husband and I were at Game Developers conference 07 in San Franciso last week. Anyway as we often do we went out to dinner with some old friends from Sony Worldwide Studios and SOE sure as sin dumming down current MMOs to take them to console was a heated discussion at the dinner table.
No game was mentioned by name, but I wouldnt be surprised if there was some truth to this rumor.
All I can tell you is not everyone at SOE and SONY GAMES seems to be on the same page atm. Alot of fighting and nasty words going on atm.
I'm sure the Japanese would allow NCSoft, a Korean corporation, to snap up a piece of one of their largest companies. To give you an idea, the government doesn't even officially acknowledge you for the census and denies you most government services if you're half-Japanese, half-Korean, but born and raised in Japan. That's way too Korean for them.
