Which computer case looks better?

xpyrofuryxxpyrofuryx Member CommonPosts: 1,587
Ok, so I'm buying a new case for my computer and i narrowed it down to these two cases. They both have excellent cooling capabilities and cost roughly the same, so now its down to looks. Which do you think looks better?

Also if you know of another case that you think is better please send link

Case 1:

Case 2:

I like the one on the top better.

Yeah, the one on the top.  Strap twelve of those babies under the wings of a 747, and you've got lift off.

Neither.  Give me a beige box any day of the week.

The case on the bottom, the NZXT Nemesis Elite, is my old case. Its a great case, has room for 3 120mm fans, front and side intakes, and read exhaust, and of course the temp reader on the top. Unfortunately the door to the drives is rather large, and the interior isnt that big. I was pondering getting the Clio for the 2 250mm fans, but fans that big arent going to spin very fast, so youre probably going to see little to no different in using that case over a case with a few 120mm or even dual 80mm's. Its all about wire management and spacing, if you have shit in the way of the air path, no size/power fan is gonna help.

I'll make you shudder this time then.

Give me a rectangular beige box with no lights or windows.  Just good airflow and enough drive bays.

One friend of mine has the top case and another friend has the bottom case, honestly imho the second one looks ugly in real life, the only good thin about it is it has a screan on top that shows useless info like the rpm of your case fans and stuff like that, but the first one has amazing airflow due to the fact that it has 2 massive fans that are pretty quite, i would perfer the first one over the second anyday.

I think they are both pretty damn ugly tbh. There are much nicer looking cases out there than those. They just look overly bulky.

Good choice case 1 does look nice. Case 2 looks like it has a shinguard attached to the front.

Id have to say that 1 looks noisey but it looks like it would do a way better job of cooling everything off. Where did u guys learn how to put computers together good anyhow?

You stick it where it fits :P

No i mean isnt there like a specific way to put things together? Or is it just like a puzzle and you put things in its spot and then it magically works?

This is my impression of a teenage girl with a computer nerd twist, "Those cases are so 2 years ago."

I haven't seen someone buy one of those over-priced light-boxes in some time now. The new look is efficient. I'm using an Antec P180. 40 pounds of black plastic and stainless steel; quiet as a mouse.

Check out Antec and Thermaltake. They make the best cases hands down. Mind you my P180 was around $120 without the power supply, when I bought it.

If this is the first time you've bought a Lite-Brite for a case, I'd heavily reconsider. I did it once and ended up becoming a horrendous eye-sore. If you've done it before and liked it, I say more power to ya... freak. lol

The modern MMORPG is simply not worthy, of the acronym RPG. The straight grind and lack of atmosphere leave me with no choice. From this day forth, World of Warcraft, Everquest 2, and all the games like them shall be referred to as PIGCRAP. People In Guilds Constantly Raiding And Power-leveling

I have the Antec P180 as well. It is a nice sleek black box made to reduce noise. I guess those other cases are good if you want to show off your machine at LAN parties. Not that I would want to lug around either case too often though.

Case 1, however as you well know its what's inside that really matters. :)

If those are the only choices then 1.  The case I use for all my builds costs about 1/3 the price of those if even that much and do a kick ass job.
