Ok guys, I was wondering - reading all this "death spiral, downfall, its over" stuff. Which MMOs did actually shut down because of lacking subscription numbers? I could list many titles that were and are considered dead, but are still around, most prominent example: SWG.
So can anyone tell me one (considerable) MMO that actually quit due to sub-losses?

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience"

Wish got canceld in Beta, it was in an pretty far state actualy. (More finished then Vangaurd was at release for sure :P)
E&B
AC2
Motor City Online
I think Endless Ages did as well, but I don't know that that one counts, as I don't think much of anyone even knew it existed in the first place.
As for the next 'big name' title to get the axe?
Horizons, D&L, Roma Victor, Shadowbane, Saga of Ryzom, maybe WW2O?
Beta as in the final product of Vanguard or in Wish?

Wish was actualy more finished then the average crappy MMO released these days. It was in development longer then the average MMO these days before they get release and it was more orginal then any MMO release these days.
I say Wish does count.
