EU: Pre-order registration and sub creation is open!

Just a heads up for EU players.



You can now create your LOTRO subscription and enter your pre-order key at www.codemasters.com/cog



Once you have done that, the patch servers are open so install your client and update away. You may need a minor update on the 14th but nothing like is required now. Be aware the patch server is a bit slow due to demand.



Props to Codemasters for doing this early in an attempt to give folk a smoother experience on the 14th.

    Not in the UK or EU you couldn't. But if you insist you could that's entirely your problem. Oh yes, sorry, you are special, I forgot.

    That's what i got when i entered my pre-order key last week. But ofcourse you already know what happens on my pc and like calling me a liar.

    Actually, your screenshot does NOT prove anything. 2 days ago, LOTRO was NOT choosable from the scrolldown menu (which is not shown on your screenshot....). It only became active yesterday.

    Why lie in so small issues, I wonder...

    Believe what you want. Why would i lie about something like that. Last week i got my pre-order kit and was able to enter my pre-order code .. then i started my client and patched it. Whatever if you dont believe fine.

    It all sucked.

    It's not that bad, I've seen much worse. Considering that they only opened the patch-servers for the pre-release yesterday (so many many thousands of ppl started to patch yesterday) it wasn't that bad...

    Well, it doesn't really matter. Make sure you check if you're fully patched though - i had some patching about 2 weeks ago, but yesterday I had to re-apply the 1.12 patch (I did that before once), and then I had 262 new files downloaded, took almost 2 hours as the patch server was quite slow... so don't get any bad surprises tomorrow morning :)

    I can now see all the nice shiny servers, though closed yet :)

    patching only takes 5minutes with my slow connection(around 300kb/s), great they already openend it!

    there are 6 servers if I remember right, 2 english ones

    So coupled with the 11 servers here in the US that makes a total of 17 for the launch....



    Not a bad number to start out with.  We only have one (Brandywine) that is regularly overloaded right now.
