    I don't know and I highly doubt it.  But I do remember ALONG time ago when GU was supposed to be the MMORPG.  That obviously DIDN'T happen, lol.

    Will there ever be a a .hack MMO? Unfortunatly NO. Although in my opinion , this would be the best mmo out there, the chances of it becoming an MMO is very slim, there would be alot of expectations that it wouldn't beable to deliver. it's a great show, a great game, but unfortunatly most likely won't becoming out as an MMO any time soon...or ever.

    ....i wonder. The MMO would probably be a disappointment i've watched the shows and yeah maybe next decade. Or they could slash it make it less kewl say pay 50$. Come home Install then yell at yourself.

    There was a .Hack// mmo released in japan, but it was shutdown.

    Since it was shutdown I doubt anyone will make a new one, let alone release it to the U.S. or other countries

    *sigh* remove the storyline, then what do you have left? Exactly, endless dungeon runs. No, there won't be a .hack mmorpg.

    It was shut down, and used a system sort of like PSO uses...

    the game couldn't work atm, notice all teh stuff they use?



    the graphics wouldn't be anime either, so it would look compeltely different.



    hell it just wouldn't live up to the name just like the other posters said.

    Actually, the technology is already in place.  It's just not commercially available at an affordable price yet :) (I actually just did a research paper on virtual reality, go figure)

    Like I said, we have the technology, it's just a point of it becoming cheaper and safer.  With just the visors and such, there isn't much controversy, but when you get to full-body suits with electrical sensors, that's where the problem lies.  Since sensations are developed by sending electrical impulses through the sensors, there is the shock risk for even a healthy person with no adverse medical history.





    In summary: We have the stuff, we just need time to slightly improve it and make it less expensive.

    Fragments was anything BUT an MMORPG. All rooms were player hosted and everything was instanced. there wasn't even a town hub, it was set up in a chatroom.
