Is anyone even going to play a faction other than chaos?

in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning

greenskins are too ugly and cartoonish

Humans kinda just look out of place....

Dwarves are short, thats a fact!

cant comment about dark elves yet

and high elves have always been the boyband wannabes of the MMO world

 

I'm probably going to be chaos chosen or marauder....will try out magus, but I'd rather play a tank.

    I wanna be a high elf or dark elf. If you check out the high elf with the bald head picture, he kinda looks like a vampire. Its cool!.

    I just can't play any other race than the dwarves. I love their big beards and usually Scottish accent.

    Ever since I started my WoW Priest I have been all about damage that also heals.  The Chaos Zealot seems to use marks to drain life from an enemy and place return it to an friend.  I find that entirely intriguing.  I'm waiting for the dark elf version of a healer, though.

    Yeah, I know it's 40K, but finding a female Witch Hunter is an exercise in futility. Unless you want a picture from Witch Hunter Robin.

     I was worried there would be few victims to dispatch in my service of Tzeentch, but it seems many are more than happy to waste thier lives in opposition of his will.

    If thats what they end up looking *like* in tier 3/4, then i'll be looking that way.

    Otherwise, i'm waiting on the elves before i get to settled into a particular race.

    I was thinking about order but since my buddy is rolling Chaos I'll probably go that way as well. FFS you get a SHARK for a HAND! That's pretty sweet man. Pretty sweet. It's going to be Jaws all over again.. this time with the order on the little sinking boat out in the ocean as the sharks of chaos swim closer and closer!

    I'll most likely be playing a Chaos and hoping that racial balance as far as PvP goes is ironed out before game hits. I have played the evil side since playing MMOS and am not about to stop now.

    I'll probably roll greenskin for the simple fact that I always have hated dwarfs.  Usually not a fan of elves either, but after pretty lengthy experience with Warhammer tabletop I'm curious to see what classes will be available, might be pretty good.  Dark elves were my first TT army, still have a soft spot for em.  Of course, if Skaven were a racial choice, there'd be absolutely no question who I'd be throwing my lot in with.

    I'll probably role a Dark Elf melee class, I was originally thinking of rolling a Witch Hunter but previous poles have shown it to be a popular class, similar to the WoW Hunter... and we all know how many of those exist.

    Agreed.  yea I'm going to wait and see how the the sides balance out.  I'd rather be the underdog than on the bloated side that has to search hard for target.  it's interesting that PvE'ers tend to favor the "good" side and PvP'ers prefer the "dark/evil" side.  I'm gathering that more people intend to be on the evil side in WAR, which makes sense as it's a PvP game.  If things get heavily weighted in favor of the evil side, I may have to roll whatever "good" race/class allows me to make the cutest, daintiest, fairest female character  that will just be embarassing to get killed by when you're a hulking evil beast.   (of course those seem to be the characters that evil PvP'ers love to kill the most...)

    I played a chaos (khorne) army on the tabletop, so I was planning on playing chaos in the mmo.  However it seems the majority will be playing chaos, so I will probably play Empire... mabey greenskins though.  My bro has a tabletop army of greens and he kicks some serious ass... squig hunters and goblin shamans 4tw!

    How's this for an idea... how about if Mythic "caps" each side...initially say 2000 thousand characters of each side...and when one side gets to the limit... no more new characters until the other side begins to match it..then the caps can come off.



    Just trying to find a way to reduce imbalances between sides.... I've played too many games that haven't solved that problem ....
