Hmmm, long time lurker wanted to see who has the oldest subscription, except administrators or staff of the site of course. I view the site most days just choose not to post, find alot of drivel on the forums amongst all the interesting stuff
I remember when I first joined MMORPG it was so much smaller and looked completely different obviously hard to believe its 5yrs and still going strong, well done to the MMORPG team to be honest
My first MMORPG's were MUDS on the University computers, I located one some computing student had left on a machine that was back in 1997-1998. Then I moved onto Ultima Online, and the journey went like this:
MUDs
Ultima Online
Everquest
Anarchy Online (What a god awful launch)
Dark Ages of Camelot (I still feel is the best PvP based MMORPG ever made)
Then came the RUSH of so many MMORPG's kind of lose count of which ones I did in which order, as there were so many to choose from, I finally rested into WoW.
I have recently finally left WoW, due to the echoes of Everquest's raiding bulls**t, you have to dedicate your life to a game made like that just to excel and become one of the best or even experience alot of the content, I couldn't justify that use of time anymore.
So I am now waiting on, Warhammer! Granado Esapada (Sp?) and Aion, games that might break out of that PvE crappy play, of course this is just my opinion on MMORPG's and I am sure there are many who love the raiding life sapping games
And i thought i was old. OP grats and thanks for fueling me to become a Super Lurker.

I think when I first became a member on here, there was about 40k~ members registered. Over the months that passed by since then, I just couldn't believe how fast that number increased.
I've been online since 95, had cable since 96. My first real MMO experience was Anarchy Online which I started playing early to mid 2001. I've been hooked ever since on MMOs

BTW, Congrates OP. Didn't even think MMORPG.com was around before 2003. I figured this site was created when all of us burned out on UO/EQ/AC. LMAO.

I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.
