Another buggy Beta game goes live

CiredricCiredric Member Posts: 723

I am so tired of this.  Buggy games released before their time.

I thought I would give this game a whirl.  Downloaded it started it up.  The entire UI constantly flashes on and off, until it eventually locks up my system.  Don't give me that driver line either, everything I have is up to date and I play tons of game with zero problems including Guild Wars.

I expected better of this developer.  Another half finished game that was not tested properly.

I've been playing since December and am very active on the official boards AND have never heard of this specific issue.  If you're willing to troubleshoot it, great, I and others will be happy to assist you as will official support.  If you're not, then your opinion is absolutely meaningless and you're simply trolling...

    What is your GPU?

    What is your OS?

    etc.., etc..., etc...

I've never heard of this problem.  Game works great for me.  Much better than playing dungeon siege.  Simple game.  Wish the gore could be turned up a notch though. I have fun every time I play.

game gets a 5/5 from me.

Not 100% sure afcourse but when you are that eager to make a topic like this i almost sure its your system

GuildWars is a higher demanding game compared to DR, so honostly how come you have problems with it. Well GW is still pretty low spec compared to the norm in MMO's, but definitly either something is wrong with the software installed (gamesoftware) or indeed like you already (did not want to hear) you might check your drivers/are you having a legil vers. of windows/when is the last time you updated your bios/motherboarddrivers. All these things can cause problems if not taken care of.

Cant say I've had any troubles with the game. I'd suggest it's simply your system not liking the game. I've experienced games in the past that just dont like my computer even though I could play other state of the art games without problem. Maybe you should have titled your post "Anybody else having problems with the UI?". Rather than jumping to the conclusion it's the game at fault.

Ciredric, This is a technical issue with your system...not the game.  You have a major system conflict.  I know you whined about having the most recent drivers but you do need to go back and REDO your graphic card updates and driver updates.  If your system is getting all buggy from a tiny 420MB program, then your system has some SERIOUS problems.  Let me guess, you're using Intel or ATI Radeon???  I don't expect you to answer that question with honesty, but don't go blaming the game for your system's problems.

PS.  What antivirus protection are you running in the background while playing mmos???  I don't expect honesty on this answer either because anyone with half a mind knows that certain antivirus proctection programs cause issues with some online games reguardless of a firewall on or off.  Plus the fact that you should know what graphic chipsets are horrible for gaming but I guess you will find out on your own cuz you won't find any help here.

Not having any issues here either.  Run it on 2 home machines and one work machine and all is just fine.

I run Vista [already a pain in the butt]. But, when I played this game I had no bugs or problems with lag or anything.

One question... is your vid card OC'd?  I had the same problem with DR and GW when i OC'd mine. Backed it down a bit and it was fine.

Well... At start I got some similiar problems, but I managed to fix them.

    Try this:

Open up 'Dungeon Runners' directory, go to folder 'config' and open file 'User.cfg', then add 'Pipeline = VFPF' somewhere under section 'Display'.

This helped me, my friends and some other people from official forum. Good luck with playing. :)

Excuse me, there is nothing wrong with my system.  I currently play a ton of MMO's, including all the popular ones, never had a problem, I even ran Vanguard for a bit.

Thank you for the hint, I will try the config change.

Nope did not help, but thanks for trying to help.   The official forums are pretty useless too, I posted twice and got zero response.

No big deal, I deleted it.

    1.  It doesn't matter what other games you can run on your system.

    2.  Funny how I searched all 5 pages in Tech Problem area and there was no such post from you on any page, yet you claimed to post the problem twice.  I even did multiple forum-wide searches and there were no posts from you.  You're a very poor liar.

    3.  Everyone notice how he didn't even bother telling us which graphic card and antivirus he's using...he's not telling the whole truth about his problem.  I figured he'd avoid the 2 most important questions.

    4.  Hope the door hits you in the arse on the way out!
