in Pirates of the Burning Sea

After reading the dev log, I think this game has everything I wanted.

1) Players driven economy

2) Unlimited customization of characters and ships

3) Social area to for non-gamers.

4) A strong open ended game

5) PvE and PvP combination

Please take your time w/ the development...I can't wait.

    I'm also very much ready to set sail on my own unique adventure, though, i'm not a girl....  I really hope the game launches when the devs feel they're ready. We can only hope for  a smooth launch!

    I dont think they ever planned for PotBS to be a "Social area to for non-gamers" much, so dont get your hopes too high in that area.    With the crafting and economy stuff I'm sure there will be other things to do besides combat, but from what has been said by devs so far, PotBS probably wont live up to games built heavily around social areas; it probably wont be like SWG with its many emotes and non combat/combat-related-crafting professions.



      I'm ready to sail too though, even if I cant be a dancer

    Been watching this game for like over 4 years. I know they will release it when it's ready but I dont want to wait any longer. I've been ready to sail for a long time now. I just hope the game is decent because I've got so bored with the whole elf/goblin thing. And I for one will be hunting you pirate scum as I'll be in the British navy.

    Had an eye on this for a long while also. And especially after reading that recent summary (with pics and songs) that someone posted, I'm hella ready to set sail. Swarthy pirate, fancily-dressed and fencing Spanish gigolo..ah the possibilities!

    I've been watching this game for about two years now and I CANNOT wait for it to come out. Seriously, this game is like, the dream mmorpg. No more undead warriors, elves, dragons, and mages. PotBS will turn the tide and overrule the mmorpg economy. Voyage Century is basically a sucky version of this game. So many glitches and crap in it. PotBS developers, take your time, but not too much time. We want the release to be as smooth as possible.

    Darkfall offers everything I want,but one needs time-fillers. Good time-fillers,not VANGUARD POS ones. Never again shall I buy shit like that and expect greatness from the box!

    Of the games currently in development (besides Darkfall,of course),I like the concept of PotBS's PvP above that of Conan's slightly. (anything beats WAR's,so no comment needed) The idea of being a pirate is also appealing for the PvP route.

    I'm ready to play PotBS,but I'm going to trial the game this time and get a real feeling for it. If this bombs,I won't be spending money on it. If it delivers decent PvP,I'm in.

    It's all about the PvP for me.

    This is going to be an awesome game.  I'm sure that there well be ways to make money rather than just making stuff.  I was reading the forum on the player driven econemy and I am pretty sure you can just set out as a merchant and buy and sell and make money that way.  It will be interesting to see what kind of niche jobs there are in the game.  Perhaps you won't even have to do that, as an Officer you'd get your pay, and then build your personal wealth from there.

    How insulting to say POTBS is like Voyage Century!!! Bahh such a poor comparison. Voyage is nothing like POTBS.
