poor illusionists they got the set now that everyone will laugh about. with relic armor it was the paladins so i know how they will feel.

hmm i may roll a warlok. They look nice

BTW, the Necro robe isnt the right robe. That robe is the tier under the main one...its used by conjurors in general.

Also, the necro head piece is similiar to the SK but it has two long curley horns on both sides of the helmet.

im new-ish to this game (got a lvl 22 illu), so i was just wondering how common these armor set is? because they are really cool, but after what i have seen in most eq2 vids (for ex. thoose who shows the different classes) all classes got their class armor equiep, so are they really that simple to obtain, or are they just using them in the videos for...i dont know...fun? and how many sets like this is there for each class?

sry if this was some weird questions, but i was just wondering considering i might re-sub soon.

    thanks.

Those are apparently the fabled sets. You need to be in a guild that can clear most or all the EoF raid instances to get them and even then it’s luck of the draw as to whether yours will drop, and if it does you still have to win the roll.

In other words you need to be in a fairly serious raiding guild to get the full set. They are not actually the best items though. The stuff that drops from the contested X4 mobs like the avatars can be a lot better, but very few guilds have a realistic shot at killing those.

There is also a legendary set for each class.  These are easier to get, but you would still need to run all the level 70 EoF instances 5-10 times to get everything.

Yeah, what's with the pants on the casters? I gues sit's a good chance for something different than the usual robes.

But dude... I have to ask... is there any way to see these on anything except the most ugly, out of proportion, mongo character in the game?? Haha.

I'd love to see these armours on a human or a Dark Elf or something. They just seem more silly than they'd normally look on that beast.

My opinion anyways I guess, for what it's worth.

    Puleeeeeeeeease?? hehe.

Awesome stuff though. Thanks a bunch for uploading them. They armours look kick ass, that's for sure.

Uh just for the record, choosing an Ogre as a fashion model was a BAD choice...
They make everything look... missproportioned beyond belief >,>

I still think the helms, chests and shoulders need alot more variation. It's ok but it needs to be really wild so you can distincitvely tell what class it is, not just from the colour but from the design. Eg I love WoW's models(don't hate me i'm just showing an example):

You can really tell every part of every armor piece from the other, and not just by colour. It's just a thought.

Well, in their defense, they ARE working on a skeletal revamp that will allow them to make more varied armor.  However, the EQ2 setting does not lend itself to the crazy armor models that WoW has.  I wouldn't want my otherwise realistic-looking character to be wearing all kinds of crazy crap that glowed in the dark.

I <3 Ogres. Even if they do have extra long gorilla arms.

(EDIT: That was an agreement with the post I replied to, btw... Not sure that that point came through when I posted it...)

The sets pictured are Fabled sets from X4 raids. They are not easy to get, and are rare. However, raiding guilds that raid those instances usually get multiple pieces and sell looting rights for those pieces. So a good player, with some money in his pocket, anywhere from 25p to 100p, could get a piece from them.
With that said, there are two other sets, and sets you can make up from random drops. Actually four if you count quest sets as well. The Claymore questline will outfit you in a Blooddrenched set, which, for all classes, you guessed it, is red.  There is a Legendary set from the instances in EoF that are semi-common, meaning you need a decent group. There is a Treasured set you can get if you're a really lucky soloer, or group in contested dungeons. BTW, the treasured set has insane stats for treasured (common) armor.
There is the relic set from trash pick up raids in KoS, and the random set from names in the same raids. Then there are pieces of certain sets that are scattered around on various names that you can find if you are lucky, or study the drops.
    So:
4 Fabled Sets, 1 is very rare and requires homework and a good raiding guild, 1 is rare (the ones pictured in this thread) and requires a decent raiding guild, 1 is semi-rare and requires a decent raiding guild or good pick up raid, and 1 is uncommon and requires a decent pick up raid.
3 Legend Sets, 1 is rare and requires a good group, 1 is a quest set you can get with most pick up groups, and 1 is tradeable you can even buy off the broker but comes from a raid (these pieces are a maximum of 10p for the bp's/robes).
1 Treasured Set, requires some homework and an extremely good soloer (not likely), or a decent group. It's supposed to be common I think, but ends up being very rare because noone wants to do the homework and just goes for the quested pieces and pick up raids. The stats on this armor are extremely good for treasured loot.
These are just the sets, there's always good pieces dropping from names and from collections.
sry if this was some weird questions, but i was just wondering considering i might re-sub soon.
    thanks.
