Energy Supplements

CleaClea Member Posts: 21

What is your opion on energy supplements?  What you prefer: drink, mint, ect?  Do you dislike them and why?  Just preaty much any feeling you like to share on energy supplements.

Do you know anything about eneregy supplements or the ingriedents used in them, positive and negative effect of the ingrients or just the over all use?

Also, does anyone know about a drink, not necassarly an energy drink, that contains taruine and glucuronolactone, but does not cointain caffeine or hopefully not Guarana. I wouldn't mind if it has ginsing, maltodextrin, inositol, carnitine, creatine,  or ginkgo biloba.  I know that the biggest boast your really get is from the caffeine, but I just want a drink with most of the same ingredents.  (Yes, I know, I'm dreaming right?)

You basically want an energy drink that doesn't have ingredients like guarana?

Just make your own cock-tail. Won't taste near as good. But I take a multi-vitamin/bodybuilding cocktail also loaded with nootropics. Which think of it as a energy drink for the mind. Makes me alot more alert. In fact, I feel continually groggy until I chug it back.

It'll also be alot cheaper. So just start bulk-ordering  alot of different energy supp's like l-carnitine, and mix it with some kind of shake, should probably be a bit citrusy, and chug it!

    aye

It seems like a lot of energy drinks these days solution is to just throw some sort of caffeinne additive or similiar to create the results.  Really a shame since there are LOTS of other healthier substitutes.  I mean, unless you want to have kidney damage by the time you're 45 keep on drinking those red bulls and rock stars ;o)

People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

I was thinking that was what I would have to do, but wanted to see if anyone  knew about on that was already out.  "An energy drink for your mind."  That is exactly what I was thinking of!  I finally decided, after drinking energy drinks everyday, or at least work day, for about 2-4 weeks now, to look up some of the ingredents that I didn't know.  I like the idea of the ones that are used to boost your mine, but I know that caffeine isn't health, and I would be considered "sensitve to caffeine".  So I guess I'll just start looking up a place to buy the products that include the viatamins and such that I want, and make myself my own type of drink.

Honestly, I don't really care about eatting right, or getting the right about of vitamins, I don't even exersise... ever!  (Unless you count the bit of walking I do at work, or chasing a four year old.)  The only reason I started careing was because of my random search, that made me want to keep the brain boost I get, but without the danger of daily caffeine.

How does this sound? L-Taurine, Ginsing, Ginkgo Biloba, and Guarana as the primary active ingredients, and between 100 and 300% daily value for 8 essential vitamins? It does have caffiene, but the actual amount present is about 1/4 of what you get from a single cup of coffee.

Its called Liftoff, and is an effervescent energy drink available from Herbalife International. Personally, I've found it to be quite effective.

Anything that makes your heart beat irregularly is bad for you if you take it over an extended period of time.

That's why I stick with coffee.

    Wish Darkfall would release.

You'll have to do a bit of research to find what you want. But type in Nootropics in google, and do some research, and figure out what you want. Also for energies sake(and is also good if you need to burn a little bit of fat), get some metabolizers like l-carnitine.

After you've done your appropriate research and want to start ordering, I would suggest www.bulknutrition.com

Instead of wasting your money on capsules and storebrands, you can buy it in bulk. We're talking kilo's.

first of all energy drinks are really bad for your health or at least all the ones i know of are. I used to have low energy and then i started working out all the time and found i had way more energy. So if you want more energy i recommend  that you get it through a natural means and work for it. and as far as supplements you have to remember that most of the ones that are being advertised on tv are being endorsed by people who HAVE NEVER EVEN TOUCHED THE PRODUCT! go with the sure thing see link below

Yeah it sounds kewl, the only problem is at the website, it says "not intened for those sensitive to the effects of caffeine", which I am, or at least I should be "avoiding it".  It does have more vitamin b6 and b12, but less taurine (l-taurine).  I don't mean to sound complantent, it sounds really awesome, and I will probably try it, thank you for the idea.

Yeah, I've done a bit of research so far, and plan on doing more, even if I do find something to buy that will work, I still plan on making my own.  I have used Google a bit, but I've also been using Wikipedia alot.  I'm not really worried about my weight (or tring to "burn fat"), I mean it's not like I'm "skinny", I have excess fat in currten places, but I think I just need to work out those areas, (which I will probably never do), I don't think something to burn fat would be a good idea for me.  Thank you for the website, I'll favs that.

I believe energy drinks are bad, not just from what I've heard and from what I've read, but you can't get that much energy that fast, with out there being a draw back.  The main reason for this post was to get other peoples opions, especally since I've heard that alot of people who play MMORPG's tend to drink them.  I know, the best way to get energy is to work out, also a good way to boost overall mood, mainly I think, because of endorphins, but I'm sure for other reasons.  Honestly, it may be hard to believe, but I didn't start drinking these energy drinks for more energy, it's just one reason I have kept drinking them. (Just spent about $30 on 24 Monsters.)  I started drinking them so much because I realized there are so many different types to try, before this, I only knew of a few different types, and only drank a few in my life.  It's once I started drinking too many of them, that I got interested in what the different ingridents do, and that led me to want to keep the "good stuff", with out the "bad stuff", including caffeine (which I should avoid anyway).  I like the idea of the mind boosting ingridents the most of all. You just remined me, I can't get something for nothing, and if I want to worry about my body, I need to eat right and exercise.  I know, I know, but I also know I wont. (Shame on me)
