Wish they could put the camera on rails or give it pan options so the jerky movements of someone moving the camera by hand would go away. Nonetheless, the game looks fantastic. Wish it were out already so id have something to do over the summer

Bleh, for some reason the colors are all messed up for me. Anyway, it looked pretty cool, but the jerky movements did make me feel a bit ill. Flying mounts is really cool though. Hope they aren't that bouncy in game though, I hated that about levitation and mounts in EQ.

Edit:

Fixed the colors. Just used a different media player. Just a bit odd that windows media player would have problems with a wmv file.

I love the idea, plus, the fact I prefer the group spell transportation, they sound like a real blast. Couple of guys getting into a postion then all chanting and crating a portal or simply useing the teleopt seqence from war3:ft.

Ow yea n2sooners, the color sometimes is to bright for me but it is somethig I have grown to love. As for Kptone, If you do not answer my questions or reply to my direct attacks to you comments, I will asume you folded as I have still yet to see you actaully answer me with a competent answer based on a logical argumentative statment.

As for orical, LOL! you really do make statments that piss eq2 off and as the eastern foloify says solve the root of the problem not just the symtomes. Make you opinion hear but leave out the people bashing, it gets on my never some times anoyes me, you just says it's better than eq2 with no comparision on why, why is it better over the mounts used in the eq2 game. but that is apart of you and I kind of love yuou for it in my own way I guess.

However instead of coming here to make those of us that DON'T go to the EQ2 forums to flame people suffer, you stay over at the EQ2 forums to do your flaming.

It's not like the people that are posting over there to flame on WoW's behalf are "the best" we have to offer the gaming community... Likewise I'm sure for the EQ2 fans who keep trying to give me a migrane with their constant babbling of insults.

Haha, ouch valkyrie! This is to mostly everyone, I just wanted to post the link to the movie so that people could check out more of what WoW will be like. I didn't really intend on this post becoming into a flame war. Its kind of ridiculous that you people think that everyone thinks like you and that there is a right and wrong thing to do. Perhaps some people enjoy different types of gameplay than you do? Maybe EQ works for some people and not others? Or maybe even some people like features in WoW more than in EQ?! Not everyone plays games for the same reasons, and I don't think its fair to say that one opinion is correct and another one is not. Also people, if you're going to flame eachother to the gates of hell, at least learn how to type. The inaccurate grammar and all to frequent misspellings are a nuisance. If you want to express your opinions, do it like adults. Use proof of why you think your opinion is best, and don't target on the negatives of the other opinions.

All I did was state some facts and ask some questions about the game, nothing more nothing less, ow and I also disproved alot of peoples statments you were makeing about wow and eq2. Thats all. I did not insult eq2 game, if you read I will even quote.

"I can't sat anything about eq2 as it is not even out as a beta yet. However I will make mu opinion known when I can form one when it comes out."

Interesting that you would attack me when I never even talked to you. The fact is, I am a WoW fan. I just like to push the buttons of the simple minded WoW fanboys who seem to know nothing about any other game. WoW just isn't the highest game on my list, so I will confront those who feel the need to trash EQ2 (which is higher on my list of games I am looking forward to playing), and I will do the same to EQ2 fanboys who trash Vanguard which is even higher on my list (at the top actually, for now anyway).

This is for kptone and anyone else who comes to this forum just to flame us for liking WOW.

Now lets get things into perspective... why is EQ2 being made in the first place, can you answer? That's OK, I'll answer for you. EQ2 is being made to entice former EQ players BACK into the Everquest fold. So many people left EQ for many reasons (antiquated engine, out of date gameplay philosophy, terrible direct community support and interaction, etc) that the powers that be over at Sony et al knew they had to react, especially in these days of smaller and smaller mmorpg marketshare. They realized they messed up. So EQ2 is nothing but a big and expensive "do over".

Now don't get me wrong, EQ2 will be successful, in the very least in the intial first few months. But I don't expect EQ2 to get ALL theose former EQ players back. For one EQ2 is the same game with a new engine and a few new game play changes. But in essense it will be the same EQ experience, just with a major face lift. So the "level grind" that is a major downside to the mmorpg (and that EQ started and perfected in the first place) will be alive and well in EQ2.

Of course the level grind will be in WOW, I'm not naive. The major difference in WOW will be that the leveling will be centered around a robust and well written quest system that is getting rave reviews in just the beta! I'm not going to even start on the reviews that the BETA is getting ( maybe that's another post for another day).

My main point is that EQ2 will be that same as EQ. So for all the different reasons that those EQ players left for greener pastures in other mmorpg's will be the same, except the engine will no loner be antiquated. Go back over to your EQ2 forum, wait for your "do over" game and leave us alone.

LOL, I really don't know where to start when it comes to you n2snooze. As for attacking you, yea I guess it could be an attack, like they say evilk acures when good men do nothing, as for what Artic said, he ws right, I did not tell you that you should not post, I simply said if you truely beleave what you said, you are a hypocrite and you should follow your own advice, and as you said, you value eq2 higher and that is where are disagrement begins. As for you statment about wow being closer to eq, please explian how so, p.s I have cut and pasted a statment form athe guild wars board I made about the differences and how it is not a clone. I beleave you should be the one to do some more reading.

1>Different quests based on story plot of warcraft:fronzen frone. The game play is based on the story line quiet deeply and all quests are somehow linked to the main story line. Also there are some quests liek deadmines or terisils forrest that are simply mini stories that you play out. Very cool thow, like stealing from theaves for saaveing the princess from the frogbogs I think.

2>Mounts, transport and traveling, well lets put it this way, there are mnore mounts and metods of transpot with eq and eq2 put togeather and I insist you count, there are all methodes of transport and types of transports. You wana go by air, they have zeplines(blipms, aircrafts) and hypogrifins and wingbats(not therew actaul name, can't remember how to spell it) and a few night elf things. Ya wana go by boat feel free, ya wana swim go, you wana portal just get a few friends togeather and cast it. There are so many ways to get around I don't know where to start.

3>Hero system, reputation and threat. You actaully can become a hero in this game, a certified recognised champiuon of the people, you get a reputaion for you deads throught quests and if you done them in specific good ways your reputation will go up an the quest npc's will treat you differently. Threat, certian spells and attacks cause threat which means that the paladin will not simply get attacked because he is attacking but the suppour priests will be heavily hattacked because he generates more threat throught healing. The AI ststem for mobs is a few hundred times better.

4>do you really want me to continue because I am more than willing on telling you how many game differences there are and how wow of warcraft is better than eq.
