Do people read up on the game they purchase or not? If you take the time to post stuff here, I'm assuming you read up on the developments leading up to a games release or visit their official website, or even read the box when you're about to buy the thing. BOO HOO no loot! Are you kidding me? Did they ever say this game would have any? BOO HOO no crafting! Again, when was it ever uttered that this game would contain that type of content? BOO HOO not enough content! What the hell do other mmo's have that's so spectacular? How many have missions that either ask you to deliver something, go kill something because it's part of a story line, go kill x number of something.. oh wait.. Thats all of them! BOO HOO lvling is a grind! WHAT!? Last time I checked all other mmo's pretty much use this format. Last time I checked your supposed to get these games to get absorbed into the world the storyline, and meet poeple ... not to sit near a spawing ground and kill stuff for x number of hours everyday, rushing to lvl shouldn't be central to your enjoyment, hell it shouldn't matter and if that what your hung up about then this genre of game probably isn't for you. BOO HOO there is no end game content! Isn't the journey the reward? How boring would it be to play long hours in a mad rush just to lvl to get to this fabled "end content"... If you want end content, play consolized single player games, they are specifically designed to be close ended, mmo are the opposite. BOO HOO there is no role playing! No game as ever offered so much character customization, to render your avatar truly, or as close to unique as possible. Beyond what, "role playing" is something that requires the player to actively ingage in! What do other games do that makes "role play" automatic, they sprinkle fairy dust on the land? And all of a sudden, everyone if typing in elvish?! Come on. Your experience is dictated by what you invariably do with your character and how you interact with the online community. Yes I realise I said "last time I checked" quite a few times.

You know, if you were a girl I might consider marrying you. Amen to.... *rereads* Everything. I really couldn't have said it better myself! Careful though... If the flamers get wind of this you're prolly gonna get burned. That or they already have and realised they don't know what they're talking about anymore. Major props, maybe this will help people shut up. And for the love of god, I hope it does.

Thx. I hope that everytime someone starts complaining about COH, they can be directed to this thread so they can shut the hell up. The threads been up for a little while, I thought someone would have tried to argue my points but dosen't seem like it's going to happen.
Wow, that's quite the flame. I've been playing COH since the first days of beta and I still love this game.
I agree there is no real loot no crafting i would normally join the bashing ranks...
...if only my soul wouldn't say i like this game.
and thats all that matters for me.

For those that want crafting in CoH it looks like it might be added in the CoV expansion. The 4th bulleted line on www.cityofvillains.com is: Build hidden lairs and forge new weapons for your evil adventures. The "forge new weapons" part sounds like crafting to me.
