so you wanna try EVE? but you have shit load of questions ofc..

since you are looking at eve i guess that you already have played some other MMO games. many mmorpg games have this basic structure so you got alot of ideas how eve will work. we need to stop here! eve is so different from other mmo games that what ever you think im sure your wrong. In world of warcraft you will meet a dude that have a quest, you accept the quest, completet it and return it then get a new quest.. Yes eve has this to but in WOW you just listen to the dude and follow orders, in eve you need to think your self How can i bennefit fromt this and why should i do this mission? theres alot of different agents and you dont need to listen to any 1 of em if u dont want to. you will gain standing for factions by doing missions this can be importent for you, but if you wanna be a fighter and your agent give you stupid transport missions, FUCK that agent! ask for help in game to find a new 1. this is just an examble but thats pretty much how it is in eve.. never just listen to a npc, never expect the game to te tell you what to do. always think your self and it is okay to ask other players for help most will be friendly But in a free trial there is a Rookie help chat channel thats always usefull. so now i hope you understand that if you want to understand eve you need to understand that this game is nothing like other mmo's.. you dont go buy Doom 3 and expect super mario brothers 2 do you? thats how big a diffrence there is..

now  hope your meantaly prepared for eve so now u wanna know if older players will pwn your ass,,?

nope they wont and theres alot of reasons why. older player have more skill points that u and will always have more than you but this dont meen that they can pwn you this just meen they got more options than u. older player even got strickt lines and ideas how to play it and what to expect. eve is huge and will always grow and new players dont think like a 3 year old player... new player will make his own ideas with all the new skills that always arrive to eve and how knows maybe you can combine somthing that a older player just cant see cuz he has hes strickt lines how to do it.  BUT like in any other mmo game the first 6 months WILL be your newbie time. you need to learn eve or  as much as possibel. belive me you cannot handle a huge ass eve war within 3 months you need ALOT more understanding of eve. even 3 year old players dont know everything  about eve so you have to get used to learning every day always, you will never understand all of eve no one does. 

so for a new player you should join a corp as fast as possibel. many Corps will how ever not accept free trial accounts but if you ask friendly im sure they dont have a problem with you hanging out with em and ask em and maybe even help em while you complete your free trial. and while you learn the basics in eve

there is a really good advice " relax relax relax dont rush everything will come to u soon enough, just take your time to understand"....

ok where are we? you wanna know about all those Laaag problems mmo games have? yeaa when your start out in eve your are in the center of everything this place can have lag cuz soo many people are testing eve here just like you. AND 2+2= 4 when we go to wars with 150 players fighting 150 players in 1 solar system ehmmm yeaa it can lag...

 new players come to eve everyday i played 1 year now and i actually see newer players than me as much as i see older players....

 so where is the storyline in eve???

Yes eve have story lines but i couldent care less cuz the important storyies in eve are those  we as players create. eve is on 1 server and if somthing big happens the storyies will go. after a few  months in eve if you are in a good corp you will start to get all thoses storyies and someday you will create em. ( you can ofc go to forums and read what happens all around but as a new player i dont think you will understand half of it)..

so what kinda charecter should u create?

'this is a big problem cuz as i told earlier you probly got some ideas from other mmo games about mages /priests /rouges and so on... well FUCK that and create your own in eve you dont even have to fight if you dont want to you can live just as fine just as a industry player. nothing in eve is desided for u YOU deside for u. yes it is possibel to make your self a "look alike" priest (for examble) if you just LOOVE priests /healers but its not somthing your HAVE to you deisde it all your self and can always turn your game in a totalt other direction. nothing is lost if you train somthing wrong only time is lost .everything can be reached from 1 charecter.. ( well it cant cuz eve is so big that u dont have time for it all ).....

so how about that skill traning??

yeaa what ever you like it or not your charecter train all the time if you set it to train. online and offline. this does that eve dont steal your life like wow often do. you can play when you have time for it, nothing is lost. so you can keep up with your game even tho you cant play it for a week or 2.... if you just dont like space stuff and think eve is just small dots on a screen i understand you, cuz that was excatley how i felt when i startet in eve. i hatet space stuff but to be honest EVE stole my heart. and small dots on a screen. yeaa i loove em. in any other mmo game if you are "1 of the big guys" and 10 of your friends around are too it really dosent matter if your friends are small dots cuz you know the power of the dot hahaha... and you can always zoom in, in eve we just zoom out to have a better veiw of the huge army..  

do some older players enjoy to kill the total newcommers??

Yes they do. but as long as you keep your self in a "high sec" (0,5 to 1,0) this wont really happen unless someone trick you into stealing from him so he can shoot you. so your safe for now. and if some 1 trick you it will only happen once cuz you will learn by mistakes i hope.  you need to understand that eve is a cold and evil paranoid world. if you loose somthing there is NO turning back. but remember that 1 day its not you that looses stuff its your enemy.....

The toturial is sooo long??

yes it is and when your done with it you still have no idea what eve is it just show you the basics. again i recommend you find a corp after the toturial.... but PLS for your own good  take the time to complete and understand the toturial.. this game will be more and more fun every day and dosent seems to to stop beeing more fun every day. so yes its a hard game to be new in and yes it seems so huge that you dont think you will ever learn but just relax and take your time and this game will turn into the greatest game you ever seen soon enough...
