is there a trial that lets me explore more then the noob islands? I wanna actually see what i'd get if i played.

seems like you played trial of the isle, there's also a play the fae trial: http://everquest2.station.sony.com/promotions/playthefae/

Unfortunately I think that's all you'll be able to see unless you purchase the full game.
Looking for something new.
