IS it worth trying out?

Like the title says, is it worth trying out?  Is there a good population?  Good gameplay?  Do you need to enter a credit card?

The game is 100% free, so why bother asking other people when you can be downloading it and trying it for a good hour or so.

I have been playing it for a couple of days now. and have been enjoying it. Had a couple of times where it crashed. I think the free to play system in this one is much better than Dungeon Runners where you are really limited if you don't pay.

The quest system is typical. You can craft and there is PVP along with a bounty system to hunt other players who are wanted by your team/race. The monsters so far are nice and there are a couple of new ones that look to be unique to this game lots of typical spider, bat type of monsters at lower level. The camera angles are a bit strange and I have yet to figure out how to make the camera go in chase mode to follow me and also I have yet to figure out if there is a way to toggle 1st person view. . It's a 1.4GB Download but so far I have had fun playing. In my opinion it's worth checking out. Good game for when you want a break from WOW

ArchLord hasn't always been f2p, unlike Dungeon Runners.

    Bad comparison.

Pray tell:  how exactly is it valid?

And don't bring up fictitious deities.  They don't have any relevance in this issue.

He was stating that he thinks the current Archlord payment system is better than Dungeon Runners, because in dungeon runners you get an advantage if you pay for it. That is valid, but still incorrect becuase you do get a leveling speed advatage in AL if you use the chantra shop.

So his comparison was valid, he just hasnt realised that later on in the game it does make it easier if you buy chantra.

If you like point and click then I guess, the wasd keys work like crap. The game is hella boring the graphics blow...for a Korean game its not bad but not great either.

mmorpg's flop faster then mcdonalds cheese burgers these days.

My point is, one had a sticker price in addition to the item shop, and the other is f2p with the option of p2p.  Different systems can't properly be compared.

I've experimented with this game a bit now and also messed with SotnW because they are the two of the f2p MMOs I hadn't really tried yet. Obviously as a p2p theres alot I would critique about both, but since they are now both f2p theres no need.

IMO Archlord is the best F2P game there is... please feel free to disagree, its all personal preference. From an in game Auction House, to player owned mounts, character storage, crafting [of sorts] and a unique way to upgrade [enchant/enhance] your gear... its a fantastic F2P game. Open pvp, sieges etc, 3 races and 3 classes... Seems AL may be my next timesink for p2p gaiming offtime.

Only wish they supported 1440x900 resolution.. takes away on the quality without being about to play in window mode, but for a f2p game, nothing but good things to say about AL, even the community seemed very helpful and both early morning and evening the lowbie towns were packed.

    Definetly worth the download

Don't bother asking people if the game is any good just try it for your self. One the people who don't like the game will say its complete crap or someone who does like the game will say its the best game out there, so just go download it and try it for your self.
