Ok who thinks it would be awsome to have a DragonLance movie (i think theyd be better than LOTR). And who thinks it would own even more to have a DragonLance MMorpg. For those who don't know dragonlance is a book series, the best.

Dragonlance has everything you could want in a fantasy book, before LOTR I would say no it would be a total mess, now I have more faith in Film makers, well some of them
I shudder to think what I, Robot is going to be like

The original DragonLance series by Weis & Hickman were good but it lost my interest after that.
Forgetten Realms novels were far better, especially the R. A. Salvatore books.
As for making them an MMORPG, that would need to be a D&D game with DragonLance rules set which should work as well as regular D&D rules but they've never gone that route.
And films? Which set of books are you suggesting? THere are dozens of story lines for them to make into films. Soime would work well others wouldn't. None would work if you don't have people as dedicated to the mythos of the novels as the makers of LOTR were to theirs.
Would love to see a movie of the story, the first trilogy - haven't read it in ages, but loved it.
I don't see a mmorpg being done though. You'd have to do something revolutionary - not much makes the gameplay different if most fantasy books became mmorpgs. Sure, it'd be cool to see places in the books, and see characters from the book, but past that I imagine most would be too similar to each other.

Some time back I posted this same idea in developer's corner and someoen had replied that they worked for a developer that was trying a few years back to get the ball rolling on a world of Krynn game but it failed. I think Dragon Lance the world and history is one of the best reads next to Tolkien and I would love to see it happen. Out of all the books I have read over the years nothing else has drawn me in like Tolkien has other than Dragon lance. And being I am almost 40 I am not just talking LOTR but way early books by Tolkien. Everyone is so hip on JRR now due to the movies but read his early works and see how great a writer he really was.
