I don't know for certain but I'll take a stab in the dark based from my DDO Trial experience and say that it's the low-res version. The hi-res pack is a significant addition to the download size.
I think there's a link *somewhere* on the official forums to download the hi-res pack though. Perhaps someone here has the link saved? I would *guess* it should work with the trial -- can't think of a reason it wouldn't -- but again I don't know for certain.
I do believe that trail is the low res client. I can't remember the hi res link. Have fun in the game.

Most digital downloads of the client that I have seen are low-res. Make sure you download the correct version for your location (Europe / USA) and patches if you need to manually install them. Otherwise you may have some extra downloading to do
