LF MMO (Sci-Fi)
I am looking for a Sci-Fi MMO. I would prefer the MMO to be skill based, either like pre-CU SWG or EVE. I like complexity in MMOs. WoW is boring in terms of its complexity. Stable economy would be nice too. I would also like it to have been recently releaed (within last 6 months) or coming soon. Complexity, Sci-Fi, Skill based.

Actually, EVE Online is your best bet. Do not worry about the catch-up issue. It is everything, and it is nothing. Play for a month and you will understand.
Join the EVE University corp so you can get well trained and grounded in knowledge and tactics.
Play Solo only if you *really* do want to be alone.

with that being the case.. have you tried Anarchy Online ? set up a froob account and see if it's your kinda thing.

The amount of ppl who want a sci-fi game is unreal,
In fact the amount of ppl who want ANY sort of decent game (like swg refugee's)
& yet nothings on the horizon, you think some game company would of swallowed
up all those refugees & plonked em into a half decent game!

Well they are advertising Tabula Rasa's simplicity. I really dislike simplicity, and if they are advertising it doubt i will like it.
May I ask why you decided to leave EVE? It seems like a perfect fit for what you want!

99% of the MMO's are fantasy for some strange reason. I'm afraid you and I will have to wait. Eventually, developers will stop trying to copy WoW and we'll see more of a selection to choose from.

Because virtual trading/selling of any kind is forbidden in the mmorpg.com forums. This includes accounts, gold, items, your 3 year old pet schnauser, your goldfish, etc.
The Powers That Be have declared that Sci-Fi doesn't sell. Not on TV, not in the movies, and not in games. Nevermind Star Trek, Star Wars, Firefly, Farscape, Star Gate, Heinlein, Azimov, Drake, etc. etc. The Corporate Overmind has declared it so it must be so. In fact, NASA, Hubbel Telescope...science in general should be the sole purview of large pharmaceutical companies. Period.
