Ibuypower is the best when it comes to having a solid PC with options that you can pick and keeping price down. Alienware is for the retard geeks with lots of money and not wanting to build their own. Your mostly paying for the name there.
Yeah, if you've found out enough about computers to make intelligent choices about which components you really want/need, then why not just go ahead and build it yourself? You're almost there anyway. And all the other information about how to assemble a PC, adjust the BIOS, and install the OS is easily available on the web.
Otherwise I suppose a small company (maybe even a local shop) you can trust might be alright. I don't know anything about most of those already mentioned, but I'm sure you want to avoid Dell. There you'll have to directly specify everything you want them to use down to the last nut and bolt, or you'll end up with a substandard 'off the shelf' box in at least some respects.
Here are two good hardware review sites, and both places also have excellent forums where people will help you if ask them politely (and have read the FAQ's first, etc.).
if your lazy have alot of extra cash then yeah go with IBUYPOWER, if your a little more conservative with your money and want your bang for your buck .... build it.

IBUYPOWERPC, and CyberpowerPC are without a doubt the worst choices you can make for buying a computer. They ship computers broken and refuse to replace parts. They also re-use parts that were sent back to them. They're customer service is very dodgey. There is about a 30% chance you will have a major problem with your PC from this company.

Hmm interesting because the pc cafe near here bought 30 of them and without any problems. Bulk order to might I add.
Buying a premade computer is the biggest waste of money. You could just buy the parts for half the price and put it together in a matter of hours. These companies usually put lousy parts in their premade computers. Some of them are customizable, but all of them are overpriced.

if you want to you could always build you own.
sounds hard, but i built mine with no prior expirience whatsoever, the manuals they give you are really fairly straight forward and easy to use.
i actually found it pretty fun too

A lot of people (including me) trust Newegg as a prime spot to actually buy components from.
