Hi, I'm Zak and  i'm  in a wheelchair

I can't use the keyboard in games and i'm trying to find a mmorpg that has got in it the feature of click to move.

I need it mouse control only,

Can anyone help?

I play world of warcraft but am a bit bored of it now.

In most games you can manually configure the the mouse to replace the keyboard (Mouse 2 = forward ) etc.

any new game worth playing will have click to move.. except age of conan, your best bet will be to wait for warhammer, perhaps get into the f2p genre, but i would reccomend you find a wireless solution. If both your hands work and the only problem is getting adesk close enough then get yourself a wireless keyboard and a piece of board or something you can place on your wheelchair arm rests.

Most of the korean grinders are click to move, such as archlord, etc. I don't personally care for those games. Then again, if its click to move only I usually delete it instantly.

Most of the games I've played though can use the mouse for movement. Even they typical awsd movement games usually work using the mouselook feature. Typically holding down the right mouse button will allow you to turn your avatar, and holding both mouse buttons down will typically allow you to move and use the mouse to turn. Hope that helps.

Hi, and thanks for your answer.

I don't use a normal mouse - i use a board on the tray of my wheelchair, which has 6 lever switches on for the mouse functions - so up, down, left, right, right click and left click.

I have severe Cerebral Palsy and I only have limited control with my left arm, and holding down buttons isn't an option for me. :(

Thanks for your help, any more names of games i could try?

I tried Archlord, and RF Online, but not much use i'm afraid.

hmm...I don't know then. Some games can turn mouselook on permanent where you don't have to push any buttons on the mouse...but how do you select skills and stuff then? I'm sorry, I don't really have much of an answer for you.

A Tale in the Desert is a nice MMORG, very different from any other thing you might have tried until now anyway. There is also a free trial

Many people likes also Puzzle Pirates. It has a free trial also :D

    I would also suggest Dofus

another thought.. I know there are some voice activated software things available, like where you can dictate to a microphone and the program types the words in for you. Maybe a combination of the auto mouselook with a voice activated program to "push" the buttons for you?

What about EVE? I haven't played it much and not in a long while but as far as I remember it's very much clicking a thing, select "go to", wait, and so on.. and still considered one of the best MMOs out there..

Anyone got any comments on that? :P Wether or not I'm right about the movement.. memory is hazy..

Eve is very clicky indeed. You could also try Granado Espada

  • JimLadJimLad Member CommonPosts: 187

    You could try... Flyff?

From what I remember it's got a pretty simple, easy to navigate mouse based interface, and that's click to move.

But if the camera somehow becomes an issue to turn, a 2d over-head game may be a better way to go. Something like Ragnarok.

Warcraft 3 is a good click to move one though is a r.t.s and not what you're looking for. Hmm I can't remember but I think Guild Wars is click to move.

If you like the sci-fi space genre of games, then I would go for EVE Online.  It's all mouse clicks, with the occasional click and drag (emptying cargo hold of ship).

I don't know how quick you can move the mouse so you'll probably want to stay away from the PVP aspect, but there is more than enough to do in the game besides PVP.  I've been playing for about a year and a half and I have yet to PVP myself!

They offer a 14 day free trial, so you don't have to put down any money to try it out.

Good luck in your search, Zak.

Guild Wars and Lineage 2 come to mind. I know you can configure some of the western games to do click to move. Most Asian games have total mouse support.

Depends on what you are looking for also.

I think you could play EVE completely with your mouse. Not sure on that.

Some games you can do alot just with a mouse like LotR and Vanguard. You can drive your toon by using both mouse buttons. If you went into the configurations they might be able to totally do mouse control. Maybe someone here knows for sure.

I usually try to only use mouse controls in MMOs. I'm lazy like that when it comes to MMORPGs.

.. laBANG!.. i'm not sure why my character said this, i think it was with a spell cast or something, but for having played this game well over a year ago, i still hear this in my head every so often when i see a spell effect in another game.

you might get more accurate results if you tell us how fast you can use mouse around.

I have to hit one switch at a time, and it takes some effort to do that.

You might also look at Dungeon Runners from NCsoft. If you ever played diablo2 then you will pretty much know how to play dungeon runners. I only suggest it because it is a free download, and if you like it, I think it's $5 a month to get the premium membership. So play it for free for awhile.

Didnt EQ1 have speach enabled commands for a while? Either way, find a good Occupational Therapist. They can make significant modifications to any computer system to help you.

You said you play WoW. How good are you at it? Are there any features in it you find particularly troublesome or that you cant handle? My thought is that if you can play WoW then you can play most games. However, since you say you are severaly handicapped by CP I suppose any fast paced game is out of the question.

EVE is a good point-and-click game, although the battles can be intense and involve multiple targets. If you're slow to react I can easily see how you will loose your ship. On the other hand there are several routes to go in EVE, and the game has some serious trade business going on which might tickle your fancy.  It might be worth checking out. EVE has a free trial too I think?

Pirates of the Burning Sea is more of a slow paced game but Im not sure if it's possible to configure it for mouse only. It's scheduled for release in January 2008.

Lord of the Rings Online is a game I think you might enjoy for a while. The controlls and mechanics in general are pretty similar to WoW.

Thats all I can think of for now. Hope it helps :) Good luck!
