Ever called in sick to play a game?

chryseschryses Member UncommonPosts: 1,453

I am interested to see how many gamers out there have called in sick just so they can utilise that double XP day or play that spanking new mmo that just picked up.  I have to hold my hand up on this one and I certainly know all my friends have and we are talking accountants and lawyers.   Lets face it.  Having a week day to yourself all setup on your PC with a massive cup of coffee whilst everyone is busy at work is pure bliss...*cough*..*cough*....I think I am starting to feel ill.

Nope. I have requested 2 days off for Halo 3....but I herd people request like a week off for Halo 3 and I don't understand how you can do that. Maybe for Mass Effect, but not halo 3.

Nope.  I've called in sick when I wasn't and then ended up playing a game, but it was more I really didn't wanna go in rather that I wanted to play a game.

I don't need to call in sick. I just play mmorpgs at work. Being a systems admin has its perks.

    Yes....kind of.

I am the senior partner at my office so I can "work from home" (ha ha) whenever I feel like it.  I'm at the house today, actually, getting ready to play some Guild Wars.

I love my work, so I never call in sick even when I am.

I overdid my sickness a bit to be able to stay home when they changed WoW's honor system. So I'll raise my hand.

I stayed home from school back when FF9 came out to play it all day. That was....damn, 8 years ago.

Games? No. But I do remember skipping days in Middle and High school to drum all day.

    Those were great days.
