I got the game a while ago (at least a year ago) and it seemed like a different kind but pretty much the same ol' Everquest. I am considering coming back and I need to know your opinions of it. Has enough been changed/added to make it more then a boring level grind? Is there a lot to do now as a low level character, as well as high level character? Is it any easier to find groups? For example, how long would it take to find a group as a level 1-10? Higher levels?
I love grouping but if I am forced to solo for long periods of time I will get bored VERY fast. Anyone playing the game, or have recently played it able to answer my questions for me? Thanks in advance.
Based on what I said, if DAOC isnt the right kind of game for me, any ideas of what MMORPG I should try?

You could download the game with the two free expansion packs integrated, and try the game out for two weeks and see for yourself. A lot of has changed, like the frontiers have been redesigned, there are battlegrounds for various level types now, housing is in the game etc. So download the game and try the trial and see if youll like it now.

ToA made the game an itemfest from what I hear. But the PvP is what seperates it from EQ. I started playing again as well and am currently a 31 runemaster. So far it's hard to find PvE grps anywhere because evryone is either in the BG or being PL'd.
I like PvP as long as I am not always being destroyed. Is the PvP fun? What's it like? How many BG's are there and can you find groups there to hunt other players? Do low level people often go into BG's?
I have 2 games that i like for their comeback factor- planetside and DAoC.
I came back to DAoC 3 times in total.Unlike EQ you can come back and actually in a week's time be able to equip yourself to a standard .
However,ToA ended that for me with its long involving quests for skills and armor which are almost a must for RvR and require large number of groups.
I would not be returning to it again because of this because they killed the real focus of DAoC there.
