omg, crysis looks great, how about an MMO like this!

I know MMO's are always a little behind in the graphics department, but playing crysis makes me want to play an MMO that looks like this so bad!!

I'm hoping that AoC (if it doesnt suck) might come close...  what do you think?

you and the 5 other people who can play it on their systems could enjoy themselves I guess.

I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.

MMO's have a lot more happening overhead. They cant put all their resources to graphics.

But I will admit Crysis has insane graphics, I nearly soiled my pants when I saw the water.

i guess you guys haven't heard of entropia universe, the sand box mmorpg that is upgrading their engine to the crytek engine (the engine that runs crysis). so it will be the best looking mmorpg ever (if they pull it off =P)

You think MMO lag is bad now? Implement the Crytek engine. You'll be lucky if you get 1 frame per 60 seconds.

For the zillionth time, single player and multi-player games are not equivalent.

Just look at what happened to Vanguard. Ok I'm not saying the specs were the only problem with that game but they certainly didn't help.

From everything I've seen on Aion it uses the CryEngine (FarCry) not the CryEngine2 which is what Crysis is running on.

Both good engines though, Crysis runs great, then again I'm not one of those using moms Dell : /

The notion that graphics, or anything else for that matter, are anywhere near as important as gameplay/fun is so utterly ridiculous that anyone who shares such a view should be placed in an asylum.

That may be a possiblity sooner or later lets face it how much better can you possibly make graphics beyond what they are at the moment cosmetically? they are mostly photo realistic, it will get to the point and most likely is at the point where graphics are no longer an issue since everyones machines will be able to catch up with them eventually.

I mean games like Everquest 2 were considered high system specs when they realeased which wasnt that long ago, and today they are like minimum specs for games lol. Eventually gamers and pc users in general will be able to play these games with no problems, like i said how far can they possibly go beyond what they have at the moment?

The next step in graphics i think is expanding on virtual realitiy and interactivity from what i have seen, so its not too far fetched to think we will be playing crysis quality graphics on average whislt looking forward to whatever the future holds.

With the way computers advance i doubt it will be that long a wait either.
