Questions about slots and gems (help)

  Im currently lvl 47 but still I too dont know what those 5 slots are for. I lost my first +21 curse damage gem at lvl 15 just like you but after that I figured it out myself. I simply droped the gem on my sloted gauntlet to fortify. The players in game dont help at all, but I just loved the game(intense agro of monsters). Many times I thought of quitting but cant give up. They should really the fix the disconnection issues and definately need a non pvp server.

  ok guys my english is not that good but i try to explain.

  1.

  so if u wanna put a stone ( for example rhombus) on a weapon u should make sure that there are free slots on ur weapon ( or armor).

  2.

  the NPC doesnt put the stones on ur weapon.

  the 5 slots u are talkin about are for makin slots on weapons. the chance of makin a slot on a weapon is at the max if u fill up all the 5 slots.

  3.

  so if ur weapon has a free slot then put it in ur inn. then just put the stone ( for example rhombus) with ur mouse on the weapon.

  u dont need for that a NPC.

  I've figured out this much so far...

  When creating a slot or adding additional slots to a weapon or armor piece, putting stones of various kinds in the available windows  will improve your chances of success.  THESE STONES will be destroyed... so use the cheapest ones you can.  I found that better stones do not improve your chances.

  I also learned that if you fail, not only do you lose the stones and Dil you have sacraficed to make the slot but you also lose 1 existing slot (if one existed).  

  Once you have the slots, you can simply place your desired stone/gem/whatever inside the slot.

  If you wish to remove a gem, you can.  But it gets destroyed and I believe (I could be wrong) that failure costs you a slot as well...or perhaps just the cost of the attempt? (if anyone knows this one please add comments).

  Well, I dont recommend putting high attack gems or high defence gems on your armor/weapons during low level which is below lvl 40. This is waste of DIL as gears/weapons change every 8 levels. I only recommend putting on better level gears/weapons. Cause if you sell such good weapon for lvl 20, no level 20 can afford your uber weapon. Haha. And medial and attack gem is consider expensive per pc, not mentioning 3-4slots full.  Of course if you are higher level and have no worries about gold, you can try your luck on slots. I advise you to buy slotted weapons and gears or you get from drops rather than go to the blacksmith and cr8 the slots. Example a bow can have 4slots and anything lower than 4slots i will discard away, simply say who wants lesser slot if you can put +40pyramid x4, for three slots will be x3 which is lesser.
  
  

   

  Upon getting the gems, you can put it into the weapons/gears w/o going to the blacksmith or other npcs, all you had to do is click the gem into the slot of the weapon one by one. Erm sorry to say i am not sure the cost of putting in as i dont look at my gold count. Maybe i will check it out later. If you are to extract any gem or all out, then you have to go to the npc, to extract it. Cost depends of kind of stuffs... But extracting sure lose the gem you are taking out, and there is possibility that the one slot missing per extract.  Cost per attempt definitely exist.

  Overall i have not cr8 any slots frm lvl 1 to 60, i just buy or get drops for armor/weapons etc. I just fortify with argates on legendary gears and at the moment have no difficulty getting +4.

  Yea I've been throught all this too......so now I go to Kalibus and buy armors/weapons with 4/3 slots....do the same...sometimes it's cheaper to do so(in high lv.)....if not GOOD LUCK...
