Lord of the rings online beats Everquest 2 on Mmoprg.com
In rating Lotro now has 8.2 and EQ2 has 8.1 only Tabula Rasa is higher, but thats only becouse its just released and still have to get a ballanced rating , all new games have a high rating at first. Dont think much people care about Tabula Rasa anyhow. I think its great to see that Lotro finaly has beaten EQ2 on Mmorpg.com, keep up the great work Turbine

Played: Lord of the Rings Online, Starwars Galaxies.
Tried: Starwars the Old Republic, Everquest 2, Guild Wars, Vanguard, Age of Conan, Aion.

i like LOTRO because this game sound fun to me ,and turbine is a great company!
im casual player and i love this game (player house)
the class are so cool and you can play music ,so..
(note:i played EQ2 for 3 months and became boring ,too old and slowing become like WoW,
the camera starting newbies area is a best example (wowdish)
so lords of the rings is cool for me +i like tolkien book A-Z!

Keep in mind I like LOTRO and all, but does anyone (with actual sensibilities...sorry had to throw this caveate in there) on this site actually give any creedance to the stupid ratings. Seriously...if anything all it shows is that they are all on the same level and nothing stands out. I think that says more about the MMO world than anything...

I agree with the above poster however I say let sand have his enthusiasm, I was once like him then the world beat it out of me. Now I have non except for when my wife actually wants to......<insert anything that doesn't involve midgets, dwarves, the elderly and other men>.

EQ2 is nothing like WOW at all, LoTRO is more like WoW than EQ2 is. LoTRO only wishes they could have such an indept character customization as EQ2. Plus, why does everyone have to compare everything to WoW? There hasn't been a game put out there yet that has beaten WoW in quality and fun. Thats not until WAR comes out that is.
I tried the free tiral of LoTRO and it needs a lot of work, the fighting in the game is so lame, unreal, and boring. So is the character customization and graphics. I'd give the game some cookies with the badges and stuff, but other than that the game is no more than a 7 in ratings.
Nice work, you were able to lower EQ2 from .1 with your bazillion MMORPG.com account.
