Well, I run the game, and the graphics are glitcing horribly, so I make a report and send them dxidag and this is what I get-:
Hi Julian, Thank you for sending us the results of the DxDiag test. Unfortunately, your system does not meet the minimum requirements for Richard Garriot's Tabula Rasa. Specifically, your laptop video card "Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family" would need to be upgraded in order to meet the requirements.

and Im just like " wow, these guys really know there technology...../sarcasmoff" wanna see my response?
I understand the Graphics card is integrated, but on most benchmark tests, the intel gma 950 is stronger than the 5700 nvidia series, usually competing with the upper 6xxx series from nvidia.
Anyways, your answer really does puzzle me, as this laptop has been able to handle other games, much more graphic intensive than Tabula rasa seems to be. For example, lord of the rings online- which also said my card did not meet minimum requirements ran perfectly on middle - high settings on the gma 950, and that game seems to be much more graphic intensive than Tabula Rasa.
Also to me, it seems not to be the chipset itself, as in the game, I can see everything just the ground seems to be black as well as the bases of trees ( though the leaves came out perfectly) as well as many 3d objects, such as the tents, dropships, npcs, including other characters. This of course leads me to look not at the chipset, but at the game client, It is possibly some bug causing this? if so do does ncsoft have a fix?
I would hope so. currently looking at the market most consumers who use laptops ( a large portion of the market itself) dont have the money to put out for say a two thousand dollar dell xps to be able to play a game, certainly the gma 950 itself is very efficient, able to handle most games with ease, of course not brand new games, which implement direct x 10 but some recent games, again such as lord of the rings online have no problem on the gma 950.
I do hope we can find a solution as I know its not the gma 950 ( again much stronger than the nvidia 5700 series ) and must be somewhere within the game files/client itself. I would hate not being able to play this game due to lack of support for an issue, especially because of the extensive features this game is supposed to bring to the mmo market with great regards, and hopes of fixing this problems instead of blaming hardware. -Julian Sonnega- hoping to be avid customer of ncsoft
now maybe they will realize I understand computers and can help me fix there shitty client ( no diss to tr though, cause I really wanna play this damned game
(Achillies is too stubborn to edit paragraphs into this..so i had to do it for him....i hope you all enjoy not having to gouge your eyes out...like i.. with my 1900X1200 rez had to do.)

Good luck with that though.

Guy...it's not about your grammar. It's about your post being one big wall of text. -.- And considering I actually wished you luck with your stuff, I think insulting me is a rather unkind way to reply to me.
That being said, feel free to misread my posts again. ^_^

No comment at this time, thank you.
While your statement does need to be broken into paragraphs so our eyes don't bleed from reading it lol - you are right. It feels like they pieced things onto the Auto Assault engine. Those integrated graphics chips usually work pretty well despite their generic crappy names. My old laptop can play newer games still with reasonable settings. Clearly the fault is on their end.

Edit your post and press enter every now and again at random intervals when you find the end of a sentence. I think that'll help more people read through it.
Nevertheless... good luck with getting a response back from NCSoft
Paragraphs is your friend.
and Im not seeing how you pwned NCsoft, more likely they pwned you because you're melting down so bad.
so GMA 950 equals nvidia 5700, but the minimum requirement for the Tabula Rasa is 7800...and 7800 > 5700 ...by about four years.
You have too poor computer to play Tabula Rasa, There is nothing NCSoft can do to change the fact you havent felt the need to upgrade your computer for 6 years...your whining is comparable to if you were angry because they wouldnt let you take part in NASCAR with your t-ford 1924
and yes, it is the Intel GMA950...Tabula Rasa uses newest shader technology that GMA950 cant make use of.
MATE LOL
In no way was i insulting you, in premeditation of "grammer junkies" rather i wrote that to sort of stave them off. In no way did I mean to be offensive to you in any manner. anways, I didnt mean for it to be a wall either, I copied and pasted the entire convo here, and was separated into paragraphs, im thinking that to make it smalled it got condensed. But again, my appologies, as my post concerning grammer junkies was in no way a reference to you.
again very very very sorry

Just so maybe you can read properly my wall of text, the gma 950 is actually comparable to a card in the mid- high end of the 6xxxx series, not the 5xxxx series. PLus mate, this laptop is one year old, 7 years ago integrated cards where not even around. FINALLY LMFAO the minimum requirements for the game is a 5700, please get reading lessons, as you obviously didnt read my post properly. Besides, average gamers such as myself dont INVEST 150 dollars to be able to play a game tyvm, I bought this laptop for school and the casual game, if Tr doenst want to support my laptop ( which runs better games perfectly - LOTRO, WOW, HALO1 and 2) who the hell loses? me not paying them 50 bucks + 15 a month? or them for being unable to get my 50 bucks + another 15 a month.... aka mate you got pwned
--Deleted, misread "the wall"---
Your onboard card is comparable to a 6xxx series card on a performance level, it is however not an actual member of the 6xxx series. If you have played other games that required more than your laptop actually has, than you have been lucky so far. It ends with TR . NCSoft pretty much hit the nail : Meet the minimum system requirements, or get out.
Either upgrade, or wait untill another 500 people from around the world send them the same request you did. But to be perfectly honest, TR isn't worth that hassle to begin with, in my modest opinion .
It would be easier for all of us if you made it readable.
great regards

Why are people still responding to this obvious troll? He thinks his INTEGRATED graphics compare to an upper end 6xxxx series. What a joke. Integrated graphics are HORRIBLE and you get angry because you can't play a brand new MMO?
The intel GMA 950 barely runs Far Cry on lowest settings, a game which has been out for a long time.
Unless you spend more than $1000 (even that is pretty low) for a laptop, dont expect to play newer games.
oh how funny

Well on paper the 5700 has double the performance specs of your onboard graphics chips
http://www.intel.com/products/chipsets/gma950/index.htm
http://www.nvidia.com/page/fx_5700.html
- Triple the memory bandwidth
- Double the fill rate
- Double the pixel per clock rendering.
And whilst your graphics chip supports Direct X 9 and Shader 3 its done via software rather than hardware.
As for LOTRO its minimum system spec is considerably lower than T.R's.
That aside did you try my suggestion of swapping to windowed mode (Alt+Enter) to force your graphics to refresh? Did it help?
my friend who had a tech problem till he learned this. His old processor was rated at 2.0 gigahhertz, pretty good back then. compared to a processor of today with maybe a 1.6 speed, would totally own that old processor.... go figure, technology becomes more efficient and puts less stress on the chips. The gma is based on technology superior to that which the 5700 is based on. So on paper the 5700 may seam superior, but its based on outdated technology. Thats a common mistake though so dont feel bad.
Achilles I did read benchmarks, which said Farcry played like crap on your GPU. Either you are lying or you have some sort of magical GPU that nobody else has.
Do you know what integrated graphics means? Its basically different works for "crappy graphics card".
Okay so I checked some reviews
http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,1821807,00.asp extremetechs review of your chip against a 6200 card.
Heres a review that compares your onboard graphics against the 6200 and the X200
http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2427&p=4
and
The GMA950 gets whomped in real tests of games by the X200 and 6200.
So since 6800 > 6600 > 6200 > GMA950 I fail to see how you can claim it to be as good as a high end 6 series card.
A lot of the graphics functions are carried out in software by the CPU - so I guess if he has a really good cpu it would perform better than on a less powerful cpu.
So what CPU is in the laptop? How much memory?
But i seriously believe you are out of luck on the onboard graphics. And again LOTRO has much lower system requirements.
Why don't You go play Lotro and stop whining here. We can't help You here, so why You whine here.
MMORPG.COM has worst forum editor ever exists
Achilles809- Gee, whiz, why won't this game run? I know it can't be my INTERGRATED GRAPHICS CARD?!?!?!?
If you going to play a game, have a graphics card. Plain and simple.
They coded it that way for a reason. 99.9999% of people that play games on their PC have a graphics card!
I think a person that writes as poorly as you should be insta-banned as soon as you post garbage like that. I type 80+ words a minute and you don't see me wrting one big piece of crap. Use paragraphs, they are indeed your friend.

Time to upgrade if you want to play TR. This isn't your little brother's WoW.
Still don't believe me?

You'll find that post is specifically about your 945 intigrated card. My post with the above info is the second from the last. The last post....by CuppaJo, an employee for the company who says flat out....
"Yup - that video card is not supported. "
Now..who pwned who?
And just to help you get a clue, NCSoft does not create MMORPG's. They produce (that is support and publish) them. Each of the games you mentioned above has a different development team. Dimension Games is the developer for TR, NetDevil was the developer for Auto Assult, and City of Heros was developed by Cryptic (NCSoft recently bought them out and is now inhouse developing CoH with members of the orginal Cryptic dev crew).
If you have a bone to pick with TR try insulting the Dimension Games developers. They, indeed, have issues and I certainly have no love for them.
And your crack about City of Heroes is completely uncalled for since it is a fine game (I've played it since release and I still play it).
