Pokemon Diamond

I can't believe I am asking this, but is this game worth playing? I have never played any of the other Pokemon games. I have an unopened copy and am wondering if I should keep it or trade it in for something else.

    I would play it, Pokémon has always been a very addictive game series. Don't get the idea that the game is "childish", that image came from the anime series, not the games.

    You don't have to play the other Pokémon games, they have nothing to do with each other storywise.

    If turn based combat doesn't turn you off then you'll probably like Pokémon diamond.

    Pokémon diamond isn't different from the other versions of pokémon as far as gameplay is concerned, if you're not sure, download a Gameboy advance emulator, a download Pokémon Ruby or Sapphire ROM, play it for a while and see if you like it, but remember that roms are illegal to keep longer than 24 hours on your pc

    Pokemon is actually the most hardcore game I've ever played, hands down. There's a LOT of numbers at work behind the scenes that the game itself doesn't tell you anything about. You can get through the game with minimal effort, but if you put more into it, you'll exponentially get more out of it.

    There's just something rewarding about putting a lot of time into creating the PERFECT team that fits your play style. And after that, going online and see how you measure up against other gamers around the world.

    There are some really gay aspects (for instance, a pokemon dress-up and dancing competition), but nothing that the game forces you to do if you don't want to.

    I enjoyed it, me and some guys have a hotspot around here in Iraq.
    So we hook up to the internet and play the impossible to beat Japanese in that game.
    It's a good game to play.

    Pokemon is always a good game to play. Will keep you occupied for hours on end, will take just about forever (literally) to aquire every pokemon.

    Actually I've never played another one after blue version which was one of the first ones.  But it is addicting and fun I guess for awhile.

    Pokemon Red and Blue started the war between the Crypts(sp?) and the Bloods. You tell me if Pokemon Diamond is worth playing. It's the Pimps vs the Pimpe---hoes? I don't have a DS, but I do want to buy Pokemon Diamond.
