A Few Questions...

Hello everyone. I was thinking of purchasing the new expansion and starting to play Eq2 again but I just wanted to find out a few things before I did. One of the main reasons I stopped playing EQ2 originally was the grind aspect of it didn't appeal to me at all. I found that If i wanted to progress I had to Group up and grind to get any real decent XP.

I noticed that they say have changed this so you get a lot more XP for questing which is apparently easier than before for soloing. To anybody who has played it I was wondering if it has actually made a difference with this new expansion & what other good things does the expansion bring that might get me back intrested in the game?

Any input would be great on this. I really loved this game and have 3 or for Characters in the 50's & 40's and would love to come back to Eq2 If the right changes have been made.

you didnt mention when the last time was that you played EQ

since EOF, theres been tons of quest content added for all levels 1-70

Kunark took solo questing to the extremes,

its better to solo quest at 68+ than group

    if it helps

There's a sticky above that says "new changes since release" that someone worked very hard to put together.  You're answers definitley lie there.

I came back & tried the EOF expansion but found that although there were tonnes of new places to explore the gameplay was still essentially the same if you know what I mean. I was thinking of starting an ALT with the new expansion but I prefer to solo and quest as I said before so the new gameplay changes sound good but I just wanted to check before I gave it another try

for me, EOF gave EQ2 a facelift for quests/content

if you were questing in Lesser Faydark / Sinking Sands in your 50s

    - I dont understand how you would have to group or grind

theres tons of solo quests from 40-60 among

    Steamfont (EOF)

    Lesser Fay (EOF)

    Sinking Sands

    Tenebrous Tangle (KOS)

and theres always Feerott in your 40s

but its easy to completely skip that zone now and quest elsewhere

(altho my next ALT will quest much more in Feerott

-- I dont like the DOF expansion, more I can skip quests there the better)
