I played TR and game is fine but i dont know what is going on once you get to Miras game is unplayable. There is around 1 - 2 sec delay when you shoot.
My ping is usually around 12-15ms and on other continents its not that bad but this is unplayable?! How did you guys finished all quests there?
I just canceled cos i cant continue playing like this so i hope someone will inform me once they fix this.

So 1/2 of one zone is bugged in regards to lag (documented as a bug in patch notes). Even bugged it's still possible to complete if you want the extra xp. All other zones before and after this one function perfectly fine. Therefore you quit the game. Makes perfect sense.
You obviously have never played any other MMO if this is the "worst lag" you've ever seen. There are valid reasons to not like TR. This, however, ranks up there with the "I quit because inventory doesn't open with i" reason.
The lag in Mires IS bad. I find it hard to play in Mires but it's NOT the worse lag ever.
Also, if you have such a problem with it then skip that map and continue on to Plateau like I did with my biotech. Or you could just be a and come to the forums here and try to create some unwanted drama.
One of the major problems with TR right now is that the game is plauged with hundrends of bugged quests and other game mechanics. I mean hell at this point I cant even hand to hand with my guardian because the devs fucked up and let future content leak onto the latest patch. So with that being said I dont blame you for quiting because shit like this needs to be taken care of in beta. Overall though TR is an excellent game, it has some of the best action packed battles that will leave you thinkin damn im a bad ass. But on the filp side they need to work out all the bugs and this should be taken care of in the early parts of Jan. '08 when the next patch is realeased. I too, almost quit this game becuase of all the shitty bugs etc... but this game has so much potential I've got to give it a few months before I hang it up.
If that's the worst lag you've ever seen all I can say is you never played on good old Lagrock prior to the 'voluntary' moves off server. Five mins to pick something up out of your bag and ALL npc's disappearing as the servers drop sync.
As for your ping I've been playing all MMO's with a ping of 250+. You should listen to Uncle Chopper and see if he has any good advice for you.
It's annoying but no way the worse ever, I have seen lots more bad examples of true lag.
Miress is sticky but playable, and for exploring it's a bit wierd being able just to walk by the bane and not get aggroed.
Whatever you say guys but its bad and its still broken.
I remember heavy lag in WOW at the beginning but they reworded everyone with extended play time and that was fixed i a week or less ...
Some classes have less problems doing this fcked zone but since i play demo i cant use my main weapon - polarity gun. Whoever tried that weapon should know that you have to make a pause in your burst every 2 secs and with lag in Mires its impossible task.
To be onest this lag atm is something that im least worried in this game but talking about other things would be off topic in this tread. Looking forward to see some major patch.
I fill your pain brother, im in the Mires and complained about the same thing. I died endlessly until i came up with a plan. The map is definately broken and it seems to be a problem on all the servers, i did a google search and you wouldnt believe how many post i found out there about people complaining about the lag.
Being an IT guy, i've done all the research and have come to the conclusion that this is definately a development issue. I dont know why NCsoft has not properly addressed this. I was at the brink of calling it quits because thats how pissed i was. I also noticed that the mobs seemed to be affetected by the lag also which is weird. What i did was just stricly go after the logos i needed, and i was going to go to another map until i hit lvl 30. You know do some base defense stuff to get some xp.
Its tough as hell but im working through the lag and yeah it is possible to completely the quest with the horrible lag, but it can be a little difficult. If you need a hand im still in the mires and you can contact Volkswagon (no im not German, its just my favorite car). Thats if your on the Pegasus server...
Dont give up man just try to at first focus on just getting the Logos, as you run to those you'll run smack dead into other quest on the way. I hope this helps and eases your pain a little.
Volksy

Mires is laggy but jeez, its definitely not the worst lag I've every encountered.
They've stated that they're aware of the issue and it is a problem with the server that that zone is on... they're going to fix it.
well im fine with it and when they fix it ill pay sub simple as that cos in state it is now its unplayable...
If you like to torture your lv 30+ with that crap i wish you luck and it want affect u probably so much unless u r demolitionist...
Well depending as to what level you are currently, you could possibly jump over to Valverde Plateu.
Granted i have to admit i didnt leave Torden Incline until i was 29/30 as i try to complete everything in the previous zones).
Not to mention that a quick 10-15 minute grind each time you play the game for more than a ocuple of hours really can help kick your XP up nicely in the lower levels (which might actually make Divide and Pallisades a bit easy)
But as i have said, i was level 29/30 when i left torden Incline, so i could have gone to Plateau right away and skipped out Mires.
I've taken two characters through Mires recently and found that the lag was pretty horrendous at times but mostly bearable. I'm mostly playing in the early hours of the morning US time which helped I think.
I kinda skipped it in beta and wanted to see what the quests were like so I stuck with it this time. The quest "Flight Salvage" is bugged but the rest work, I suspect "Flight Salvage" leads to a chain that finishes in one of the instances as after completing the 3 the ToO is only reporting 2 of 3 ops complete, I'm not sure which instance didn't complete.
The instances themselves are not affected by the lag and are good fun to do.
I play on Orion with a ping between 29-45ms, the lag isn't that bad except some parts in the Wilderness zone like the LZ assault/defense occasion and I get slightly stuttering but it's tolorable, Cassiopeia is much less laggy but my ping is higher there. The worst lag I've seen was in SWG and Planetside, City of Heroes/Villains was easy to fix by turning sound off ingame (devs has yet to fix that one) but otherwise one of the most annoying lag was from CoX.
I know the EU server is the most populated, they may need to add another EU server, the amount of players on there almost equals to Orion and Cassiopeia's combined population.
Sookster54 what the hell are you talking about?!?!
We are talking about Mires if you didnt noticed...
