I've never used vent before, but I know it was extremely popular in WoW.  I'm looking to play WAR when it starts up and was thinking that vent is something I should learn about. 

How do I know what to DL? and do I have to pay for it?  Does a regular microphone as seen with Xbox Live work or do I have to go get a different type?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    More on this later...I'm running out the door right now and don't have time.

    The mic you have should work fine. I believe there is a USB option under vent, but I haven't looked in awhile. I'll check it out and get back to you, unless someone else answers adequately first.

    Goto to the above link under client download window or mac depends on what u got (duh)

    When u got everything ready open vent and goto setup, under the "voice tab" to the right there is something that says "output device" &  "input device" choose your usb headset for both of them ( for me is Logitech USB Headset). The output is the mic and input is for the headphones (obviously).

    Edit: If you got the normal 3.5mm Connector you don't need to the above step, vent will auto detect it just like your comp will.
