Why hello there, Bunter! My, you are on the ball!
Milestones are coming up fast here at Stargate Worlds, and the second quarter of the year ends this week, so you might imagine we are all very busy right now. But I'm happy to jump in and answer some questions here.
Ah, yes, the big BETA question. We may be a year away. Maybe more, maybe less. As to being a part of the beta, I am going to differ to studio head Dan Elggren on this one:
"Probably the best way to get on the radar for beta testing is to take part in the forums and be active in our rapidly growing community at www.stargateworlds.com."

Let me say...
I think I am not the only person to feel this way... please please, whatever you do, do not rush the beta.
Sure, distributers and publishers will always pressure you for a prompt release so they can earn some money... but nothing causes a bad reputation like an unfinished product!
The producers and directors couldn't agree with you more. We just had a huge team meeting today where we discussed, among other things, this very topic. The beta will be fully ready for you. There is no other way for it to be truly effective.

I just want to say i love how the game is coming along and i hope that the beta and the finished product will be able to be run on mid systems as well as high end. plus im a huge fan of Stargate and i am more than pleased to see that this game is being made.

whatever may be said about betas, I (and I am sure that lots of other people) use them to decide wether I will play the game or not.

you i also use betas to decide wether I will play the game or not but its different with stargate worlds. I am such a fan of stargate sg1 and with all the cool info the have released lately, the only thing that could stop me from getting this game is not having the money to buy it when it comes out. I am looking forward to walking in the shoes of Daniel Jackson as my first character in the game.

All I can say is that I seen all of the seasons and have watched it to the very end. I knew that someone had to make a Stargate game because its just to good to past up!! So I cant really tell you how much I want to play stargate beta testing!!!!!!! ITs going to kick ass!!!!
Yea been a member of the stargate worlds forums for about 9 months, I guess i need to bemore active in it though since I only have 1 or 2 posts!!!! I dont want to miss out on this beta, been waiting with friends for this game.
Geesh i only commented on this game once,it was a favourable one.Now it just seems like a bunch of professionals running this game.LMao i hope that didn't sound wrong,i meant it as a good thing.I have no idea weather or not i will play this game,as i am finicky on several areas of a game.
I can at least say that your team seems mature and professional not like other demos or movies i have watched of DEVS acting like jerks or 12 yr olds,*cough*warhammer *cough*.
I'm not really into space/sci-fi type games,wich is too bad i really would like to give this game a shot.
Judging by my several thousand hours of online gameplay,i would say a HUGE priority will be to make the game function flawlessly in VISTA.I can only hope by that time nvidia and ATI get there heads on straight and have PROPER working drivers.I see several bad anomalies in several areas of games under the vista platform.
I always keep an open eye on all the releases so i will still come back to this one in the future.Enough useless rambling,i do hope your game succeeds,as it's a class act as compared to other games,GOOD LUCK !.

I agree with most of you guys. The game looks really cool. But I have my doubts that the game will actually release. I remember following the last Stargate game. Everyone was anticipating its arrival, but it never came. But if it does I really want to be on the beta.
I have a question Scepter.
How big is the world?
Will this world include visuals as seen in Stargate " Atlantis"
If not is it feesible that it would come out in an expansion?
What type of races will there be?
If anyone else has the answers to these questions, please answer.

SGW is about SG1 series from season 2-8. Atlantis is not in the release, but it seem to come in someday as expansion. Size of the world can be found in SGW wiki. There is for races as playable by players: Asgards, Goa'ulds, Jaffa's and Humans. Also found in SGW wiki.
Most the info can be found in here SGW FAQ or in SGW Wiki , where is collect all information what we know about current state as SGW development.

While Atlantis itself will not be in the initial release of our game, you will definitely get Ancient technology and architecture. One such world is Agnos.

This game has my unconditional love. I have been watching Stargate SG-1 since it first started and since then I have aquired every single Stargate DVD, the series, the film, Atlantis series. I have collecters items for Stargate, all together I have probably spent more than £2,000 on Stargate merchandise. And I was truly gutted when Season 10 ended in such an unfinished manor. But my dreams live on in Stargate Atlantis.
And now comes the opportunity to make my own Stargate adventure. I swear to you, when this game is released I will never quit it. I have way too much love for the setting and I can't wait to re-live some of the adventures.
This post is just to say, you guys have my support and I really do hope you make this game as good as it can be. We don't have a good Sci-fi MMORPG out there yet worth playing..Now this is going to be so awesome I can't even describe it.

This game is truely the dream of Stargate fans and gamers alike, who have either longed for a Stargate game or a modern ranged combat mmo. It is great to know that everyone at CME are great people and actually inform the gamers and keep them involved.
And I will have to agree with DEMDEMDEM and say even if this game sucks, which isn't likely I will still play it and enjoy it, and I will have to chat abit more in the forums, thanks everyone at CME and all of you fans and gamers that take part in the growing community and help that game with your ideas, So thank you.
I dont think i can call my self a superfan, but I enjoy watching stargate. Game seems to be nice too. It has lots of potential and room for ideas. i be looking forward to this game.

This game isn't just for a super fan like me, though we are putting little nuggets in that super fans will recognize. The ranged combat system is really going to appeal to a wide variety of people. It's definitely something not attempted before in this way!

i dont know about everyone else but personally i am stoked for the release. i didnt get into stargate sg-1 right away until i starting watching stargate atlantis and now i am dilligently trying to see every episodes for sg-1. Once I heard that there would be mmorpg for these adventures i was ready to play at the moment... but it is well worth the wait. lately i have been checking about the beta tests and i am hoping to be able to experience this because i know that it will be an awesome oppotunity especially since since i have come to know and love the series. but i just wanna thank cheyenne mountain
for the development on the game and i am looking forward for fall to get here sooner
