OMG!!! What are we going to do? The devil is to blame for illegal immigration now.
Wait, wait, wait. If illegal immigration is the work of the Devil, and GWBush is doing nothing about it, then isn't he allowing said Devil to do his insidious work? GWBush is a pawn of the Devil. Ayeeee!!!!

Utah Republican Blames 'The Devil' For Immigration

If you really want to blame someone for trying to destroy the United States, point the finger at… Satan?
The devil, Lucifer… whatever you want to call it, one Utah Republican says it is he who is trying to bring the USA down.
And Satan’s apparent weapon of choice: Allowing illegal immigrants to cross the border.
According to The Salt Lake Tribune, Utah County District 65 Chairman Don Larsen has submitted a formal resolution to oppose the devil’s plan to destroy the country -- to be discussed this weekend at the Utah County Republican Convention.
“In order for Satan to establish his ‘New World Order’ and destroy the freedom of all people as predicted in the scriptures, he must first destroy the U.S.,” Larsen’s resolution states. “[It is] insidious for its stealth and innocuousness.”
Larsen’s proposal to defeat Satan? Close the borders to illegal immigrants to “prevent the destruction of the U.S. by stealth invasion.”

Technicly the french were responsiable for WWII, So they murdered millions of people. And just becuase one republican says that it's the work of the devil, which it is not..(.he is obvoulsy an over zelous christian.) Doesn't mean that every person thats a republican is like that nor is GWBush.

After WW1 the french stormed germany and demanded tax and herrased poor citizens to the point that germany was in complete poverty. Not saying that the Nazi facist are good but i see justifacation on how the french were the first to go down.

That was the Treaty of Versailles...Please, read up on that treaty and why it failed...

The guy is a politician...politicians want votes...Utah is largely a Christian state...saying something like this might get him votes...you are surprised by this?

Unfortunately many mormons do believe in crap like that in the name of faith. It's pretty scary in utah at times because there are some really dumb smart people here. Now I know that sounds funny but it works like this they are really smart people in an educational sense I have known many people with a Ph.D that are really smart that would buy into something this dumb.

Germany got the blame from WWI in Versaille. That is true and there were huge amounts of money to be paid as reparation by the German government. The nazis in turn used exactly this fact (among others) to start and justify WWII. It is a bit simplisitc to say that the poverty in Germany preceeding the third reich was due to the French. For example the Great Depression of teh late 1920s and the inflation that followed.sorry for OT, but just wanted to clarify this for our self-proclaimed history prof.
