Another Thread to add to the mix....

I have seen these threads before; I am embarassed to say that I am adding yet another of its kind to the mix. It has dawned on me, however, that with as many people there are surfing these threads, it might not hurt to post this.

 

Sorry, to the point....

 

I am looking for a new game to play. Paid or not, I really don't care. I am fairly new to the MMORPG genre of gaming, so I am not very knowledgable of the game titles out there. What I am hoping to find is something that isn't all just grinding. PvP is found everywhere, so I can't say something with no PvP (yes, I know, the Sims is a no-PvP game...). Maybe I will just put a list below:

 

Crafting...that is fine

Building...Towns, houses, bases, I like to build

Quests...I love questing

Fantasy, Sci-Fi.....Those are what I know to this point.

Solo playable...not feeling the "Need" to join a Guild/Clan

 

So, if anyone has any ideas (aside from the Sims...heh) I would appreciate the info.

    If you want low system req i would suggest WoW, everquest. Maybe CoX/Guild Wars which might be more demanding. If you havent tried WoW yet it's safe to say you'll like it. If you have been playing it for a while you prolly don't. CoX was my first MMOG and it has a special place in my heart. Havent tried everquest 1 or 2 but the screenshots from everquest 2 let me belive it's low req.

    So yeah WoW...

     Well....Wurm didn't like my Laptop...thanks for the suggestion all the same.

     

    I see there are a few more suggestions now, I will try one of them.

    Well,I am still looking. Went back to playing Sword of the Stars for a little bit, then back to My current game again. Thanks for the suggestions.

    I urge you to try Guild Wars ! If you love quests and story I don't think you'll find any better mmorpg out there.(It beats WoW,Lotr,Lineage and many others so easily).You can really role play in this one and you get immersed into the story, you complete quests with pleasure here. It's also 'solo friendly' (although it has guild in name ). It has quite low specs and it's well optimized so I think it should run quite good on your lap (on my old pc with 256mb ram,gf mx440,1,7ghz athlon average 25-30 fps).

    So in short....I recommend it to You, check it out!
