Almost 3 hours lost for this?  Uneventful, plotless, mindless, and just down right a waste of 3 hours in a movie theater.  I emplore you, do not go see this movie.  I could have shaved an hour and a half off of it and still had the same effect and message.

What greater tribute to free will than the power to question the highest of authority? What greater display of loyalty than blind faith? What greater gift than free will? What greater love than loyalty?

    Rotten Tomatoes really let me down on this one. 91%? What the fuck?

    As already said, the movie is just so slow. There's some awesome symbolism and allusions (especially to religious works), but they're just so spread out and slow that it's painful.

    Seriously, it's hard for me to say this about a movie with such potential with such great deeper meanings, but do not go see this movie. It will bore you to death.

    rotten tomatoes is the worst review site there is....... they seem to give a wayyyyyyy lower score than neccesary or way higher than neccesary. like i think it was oceans 13 or something but they gave it a 21% and everyone else gave it more or less mediocre scores

    Whew, glad I'm not the only one that disliked it.  The acting was actually very good, if not incredible at times, but everything else about the movie was just terrible.  I might read the book (Oil!) just to see what the hell it's supposed to be about, lol.

    You do realize that RottenTomatoes just compiles the best reviews from other critics, right?
