Lineage II Help

KrimzenKrimzen Member Posts: 28

Hey all,

The WoW community wasn't very much help with this, so I figured I'd try my luck here.

I'm looking to play Lineage II.  But I'm having a problem picking my class.  Here's what I know:

I want to be Human, Dark Elf or Elf

I want to be a Mystic

I want to deal the greatest potential DPS from spells.  Similar to that of a Mage in WoW.

But Lineage's website doesn't really tell you clear cut which class is the best for caster DPS.  I had someone tell me to go Dark Elf Spell Screamer, but that was the only reply I got, so I'm hoping someone can shed some light on the best DPS caster damage wise?

You need to go ask this on the official forums....there is no clear cut, easy answer to that. Each race / class has strengths and weaknesses and each has DPS casters....it all depends...people will argue about it all day.

Maybe try warcry, they have a fairly active L2 community also.

This site is useless for getting specific info on topics like that.

They's pretty much 4 Nuker's in this game, Sorcerer's, Spellsinger, Spellhowler, and Necromancer

As a Sorcerer's you pretty much use only 1 nuke when your soloing, medium casting speed and damagede.

As a Spellsinger you have both a normal nuke and a overhit one when your soloing... the Spellsinger has the best dps cause it cast's faster then Sorcerer/Necro or Spellhowler's, but lowest damgede pr nuke.

As a Spellhowler you can curse death link on low hp for a lot off damgede or use Cursed Bone's who are really exespensive to use but cost almost no mp, then you got a normal nuke and a overhit nuke...

they also get body to mind witch give's you mp back bye the cost off mp so they the best pve Nuker's.

They hit the hardest but slowest casting speed

as a Necromancer it's just Cursed bones who are exespensive or curse death link you have, but they do get body to mind to, a Sorcerer's does to but only lvl 1 witch becomes useless pretty quick...

same casting speed as Sorcerer's and damgede.

EDIT: to get more or better info visist offical forums as torak said

I can't go to Lineage II forums and post without registering for a game account.  But I'll try Warcry.

    Thanks guys.

Spellhowler is the heaviest hitting caster class in the game. (That's the Dark Elf wizard type.) They are the best in PVE (so they level fast) and good in PVP too. They have some really good skills in addition to having the highest magic attack. They cast pretty slow, but with the right set-up their cast speed can be greatly increased.

Spellsinger hits for the least amount of damage but they have the fastest cast speed. They are hard to level in PVE without really good gear and buffs, but are very good in PVP.

Sorcs... well sorcs I guess are supposed to be a middle ground. They hit harder than the SpS but not as hard as the SH, while they cast faster than the SH but not as fast as the SpS. But they just don't excel at anything really. I don't recommend Sorc.

You sound like you'd like the SH class. They pack a punch. Sounds like that's what you're looking for. =)
