I was hoping on a mature constructive conversation (as ppl most often have in democracy), but that failed because some ppl are so brainwashed that they cant see thing from an other view but their own.
Either its true fans answering this thread or maybe it even is the company PR-section that wanna spread positive propaganda.

This game isn't lacking, the only thing that kills it is the horrible grind and even worse, the customer support. I quit and I always want to go back but mainly the support just kills it.

Botting and Ebaying are integral to the gameplay. End of story. I tried for 3 years to play straight. It's not possible. The game was designed to require cheating. That way everyone must cheat, and cheating is effectively eliminated because cheating is then the norm. If everyone cheats, its fair. Thats how L2 operates.
Ok, I think thats it. I forget though.. where was the reason why people shouldnt play this game?

let me get this right. you mad because they ban you due to cheating and boting? now i only tried this game on open beta for 10 mins, but hey you done something that is not approved by the game. you took the risk and now your account got ban. there is no reason you should try to stop others give this game a try. (ofcourse if there is so much bot and cheat in this game I wont play)

Oh wow the first time I read I think I only read a third of the paragraphs, did not see the part where he/she said you have no choice but to ebay at 40 for c-grade and the part of the botting, did you edit your post? For adena, just stay a bit in Giran with overnight shops and in a few weeks, you should be able to get the money, especially for C-grade. The grind is the main disaster however and it may be tempting to use bots but it is your loss if you get banned.

All I'm going to say to this is BS.
It's a great-sounding cop-out to blame the botting and this and that on "why you have no choice but to eBay". "Well, you can see botting is a problem and look at the prices! So obviously it's true!" Convenient excuse, but it's not true. The fact is you don't have to eBay, ever. What you do need is patience and to use your head a bit.
I started from scratch on a new server. I earned the money, legitimately, to buy every set of gear I needed, from top No-Grade up to C-Grade and even bought "ahead" for my Tallum Heavy (already enchanted). The Tallum Heavy alone was 110 mil and I bought it in preparation to bring my character over from another server. The toon I intended to bring over already has full +3 BW Heavy, so I don't need that. Though I know I could have gotten the money for that if I needed to as well.
I did all this in under 2 months.
A couple friends of mine started from scratch as well and are actually doing better than I am.
So.. again.. you eBay because you choose to. Not because you have to.
Period. End of story.

Its funny that peole say that they play legit . The Weapons and Gear in this game cost Millions of Adena but I have never seen any of these legit players say how they make their Millions. I have heard about the Manor system and everytime I see somebody in game harvesting I ask them, Do you make good money from doing that? Each time I get the same responce that It pays for my soul shots. People say that you should work the market which is buying low and selling high but mostly everything on this game sells for about the same price from every seller. I just want somebody to explain how to make Millions not Thousands and yes I Ebay and I am proud of it. I work everyday so I will do what ever I want to do with my money.
How to make tons of money? Sell overpriced SSA/BSPSA to impatient ppl.
No joke, I didn't believe it either. A friend of mine told me about it and let me use his dorf to craft cheap SS and BSPS. I set up a sell shop a few nights the first week and made around a 50 mil profit. And that wasn't even selling every night either. And every night I've set up since then, sold tons. Like around 30k SS/BSPS a-grade a night. I sell out so fast I can hardly keep up w/ it, even w/ my Eva's Saint recharging the dorf for crafting.
Anyway, Blupp, good riddance, ppl like you are the reason the game is in the state it's in. Don't let the door smack you on the butt on your way out.

i know a lot off people who's done the same but no way they earn that much just selling soulshot's and to sell the high lvl soulshot's spirtshout's you also need a high lvl dwarf witch take's time to lvl.
im pretty sure his point is you have to ebay, if your not gonna work the market else they really isen't any other way's to earn adena's and to top it all off some classes loses adena's when they out hunting
1) First of all, check the sticky in these forums and check out the guides at official forums, very helpful.
2) Second, the main way I get my money (well I only really needed to do it for A-grade because A-grade is extremely expensive when going from B-grade to A-grade compared to other grades) was by buying low and selling high which many people claim. But the thing is, buy low and sell high is sometimes hard to do because you may not always find good deals when going through the afk shops. So instead of going through afk shops, look out for people trying to quickly get rid of their stuff whether it be they are trying to make room, selling stuff from their alts, quitting/transfering, etc. I have gotten millions off because some people who I constantly see trying to get rid of stuff sell for such low prices especially things like extras like the crowns or other things you can put on your head. By doing this I take a risk but a small risk, I highly doubt the market would fall so low as to have an already an item that I already bought for a real low price compared to the normal, would fall quite a few millions under it. Another amazing item to sell well is enchants. There are people who have tons of enchants because they have accumulated them over their playtime, mainly EWDs, EADs, EWCs, EACs, etc. Buy them in bulk and many will give you discounts and just set up overnight shops to sell. I have bought 50+ EWDs once at around 200k for each of them, I can sell them for their normal price on Erica before, around 500K - may take a bit of time but overnight shops is easy to do.
So ya ^^, that is how I got my money for A-grade, although I could have kept doing it to continue to upgrade my A, I didn't really care much to.

The first answer lies in research. Just do it
The second is match your expectations to your gameplay.
The third is get into a legit clan.
Once you've satisfied those three enablers then you can go and make some money.
The best ways of making money is to play to the demand. Look what ppl are WTB and go and get those items to sell. IF you have played the game for more than a few moments you will no doubt realise that the biggest market is in consumables and weapons.
I made my small fortune with soul crystals. I still profit well from them, as a level 13 crystal sells for around 130mil on Kain, give or take. Thats not a bad bit of cash for something that essentially costs you nothing to level up and requires a clan for the last few steps. You can either solo or buy a lv 10 crystal from the Lux shop in Giran. When we raid Lilith, we will get anywhere from 9 to 18 level 12 crystals during the reward week depending on how competitive she is that week. We've had weeks where we did her straight for 6 days and then other times we only got in once or twice. It averages out at around 9 lv 12 crystals per rewards week. You can sell those for around 60-70 mil each. OR take them into the Rift and level them to 13. This is the rate limiting step as you need to be consistent. It takes a regular group and some commitment. Once you sell the crystals you can disburse the money amongst the clan. I won't insult you by doing the math but even you will realise that even at the inflated prices you can pretty much outfit yourself in any gear you desire in a few months.
I could write 50 pages on how to make money but I'd be wasting my time as all of this has allready been posted.
Fundamentally though, get some friends to help you! Thats the unwritten law of L2.

At op... This is the internet don't go around expecting "democracy" and "freedom of speech" because they don't exist on the internet the majority of the time nor do they need to exist, owners can do whatever they want with their web space.
OK, will try to stick to the your original points and not focus on the merits/detriments of ebaying and botting.
First, 7 hour down time isn't that bad. WOW frequently is down all day Tuesday whenever a major patch goes in, and even on a slow day its down for 2-3 hours on every server. In EVE we have a daily downtime plus a 2-3 hour downtime on Tuesdays. So NC wasn't really doing you guys wrong that day.
Second, you jumped on the forum and openly criticized them. Are you sure this was your first offense? Did they know you were an ebayer/botter? Maybe they just decided to be done with you on the forums. They are heavily moderated and you are not free to speak you mind there.
Truthfully, NC pissed me off on my first MMO I ever played, (Lineage 1) and even though I gave Lineage 2 a go (and I agree, the grind for money and exp is horrific) I really don't care for any of their games. I know AION is coming out soon and its supposed to be different, but I'll believe it when I see it.
In the end, you did the right thing. When a company fails to provide you with the service you want/expect, its time to move on.

Just for the record free speech doesnt apply to a private forum. It doesnt even apply to this one because you have to agree to some rules to post and those rules say they can take your priviledges away.
Anyway, lineage 2 is hard. The economy will chew you and spit you out. I'm told you need to have a good guild backing you to progress in gear. Tried it for a few month. I quit because i coudnt afford anything on my own. Got to grade B i think (blue wolf?). If i ever go back i'll be playing a dwarf scarvenger and sell the mats. With a few websites helping me with what drops what and where, i should be able to craft my gear from public creation stores.
My personal problem with this game tho is that you have to stay logged on to sell your stuff and this does not work with my isp. Tried many things and it comes down to this: until they make auction houses i can't play the game.

Read my guide or PM a guy named cryomatrix. He made hundreds of million legit. Its not hard, just very, very time consuming like everything else in L2. He made spread sheets and the whole deal.
Also it helps if you use sites like L2warehouse to look at market prices.
If you think you are going to make enough cash grinding like you do in WoW or LotR you will never in a billion years make it.

Oh, I also find it interesting that the OP, after years of play / cheating/ botting and whatever else he could do to exploit the game, finally gets kicked and now he's warning people not to play NCSoft games because they banned his arse...lol....classic....

I can read just fine, I think most of us can. I understand that you were banned from the forums because of a post you made, not because of botting. But I would like to point out two things. First, all we have to go on here is your word that you were perfectly behaved in your post. With all the things I've seen posted on L2 forums, all the extreme criticism, flaming, etc. I've seen on them, I highly doubt that you were banned just for what you say you were. My thinking is that you either REALLY got out of hand or were stupid and broke one of these. They even follow a 3-strikes rule, so unless this was your third strike or you said something REALLY bad, you wouldn't have been banned permanently. And you say all your accounts were banned? OK, so I'm leaning towards the YOU REALLY ARE GUILTY side of the story...
Second, I would like to point out that you have no right to say anything about L2 or NCsoft (although you obviously are under the terribly mistaken impression that you can.)

the lvl 12 to 13 in Hero rift is only 9 man party's but not everyone is lvl 76+
i don't know off any other companies that ban you for complaing about bot's my forum's account's got banned at lineage 2 offical site to because i made 1 and my first post about bot's and they diden even send me a mail.
clan's that raid lillith or the other bosses who can lvl soul crystal's often requrie you to be 76 + and then be a member for a long time before you get anything off the loot... not to mention your more then 1 group doing em.I'm glad you picked up on that

Its not as difficult as you might think, yes we had more than one group
and time in clan has nothing to do in how we divide loot. We're old "skool" players who believe more in the vetting process before you get into the clan. Its more about maturity and social interaction, so once you're done with the recruitment process everyone is treated equally and managed more by their productivity online rather than total time online. Those are two distinct paradigms, which I'm sure you can appreciate. Loot is mainly based on NBG and generally the stuff goes to the newer players anyway as the greater majority of the players have been together since open beta and have established processes for both the XP cycle as well as the crafting/consumable producing cycle.
The key enablers in our clan are some very passionate L2 players, who put in tons of research into L2. We even have a guy who reads Korean and is able to post and ask questions directly from Korean forums. So we develop our own strats based on our clan capability.
The key for us is player interaction and to ensure that everyone is playing the game for our mutual enjoyment as it was intended to be played.
In light of the subthread and to answer the tangental question about money making schemes in L2, the key info is simply not shared. The game is too competitive for this and most of the "really useful" information on how to make good money or where to spoil stuff will never see the light of public forums. Even more guarded is the information on how to set up and fight raidbosses without having to zerg them.
Such is the milleu of L2

I made enough for all of my B Grade (BoP and full Doom Light all +3) and all of my A Grade (Soul Bow and Full Majestic Leather all +3) by doing this quest and selling the level 6-10 Soul crystals for 100% profit. It took a considerable amount of time and I had a friend mule the extra crystals who I split the profits with(He got all of his high end gear from it too). This is just one of many ways to make money legit. I also played the market(Mainly buying SS cheap in one town and selling it in another for a decent profit). The Manor System is also Highly profitable if you know how to work it, I did it for a while but found Soul Crystals to be the most profit vs. time invested. You can make money legit in L2 if your willing to invest the time.
