cos its a crappy game.....crap gamplay imo...crap comunity......and crap graphics....
Then if it sucks that bad to you, then why are you posting in the forum?
small world, endless grindfest through quests. Crappy gameplay, weird balance between classes. Waaaay to flashy attacks and such.
In the whole, the game is rather okay to kill of some spare time if you have any. But i would certanly prefer to wash the grass grow
Im not bashing the game, just my personal opinions which i guess other people share. And topics like this often gets trolled and bashed on this forum
The speed of the mole and the power of steel is my weapon
small world? you know the more you level the more maps (worlds if you will) you unlock?
waaay to flashy attacks? yeah that sucks id rather play a game where i gotta watch a sword chop with no effect and no special skills...flashy cool looking attacks suck ass (/sarcasm off)
i think we just have a lot of high level leet players from other games gettin lonely cuz people are hopping to cabal. I know most the people i talk to in game have ditched their old mmo and are fully enjoying cabal. but hey, mabey were all idiots for liking flashy graphics, go play pong on a green screen if you want unflashy.
Then if it sucks that bad to you, then why are you posting in the forum?
cos he asked why people hate this game...so i told him
I hate that it has good graphics and is a complete mindless grind. I hate that my mana is governeed by auto potion system, and that i MUST use mana potions and thus waste money on them. I hate that everyone looks the same at ever level, i hate that there arent many skills, i hate that every character is practically a cut and paste. I hate that there is only like 4 box like game areas to play in, and dont get me started on the lame dungeons. Quests are mindless and retarded, first time i never felt compelled to read the lil text box. I have taken many goes at it, and i just cant stand the cash shops....always felt like they took away from the game, and were used as excuse to exclude things from most players. Ill happily stick to my P2P because the "free" are never worth it.
Now THAT makes sense, but in reality, thats most f2p games besides the "Auto-potion" System.
sounds like you came into the game expecting to hate it...
you only start with 3 maps, obviously you didnt get to 50+ becasue you get new maps ever 10 levels or so.
there arnt many skill? did you even look at the avaliable skills? there are like 60 difffrent skills.
how can you hate a cash shop system that hasnt been implimented yet? guess your just assuming your going to hate it.
i agree with the lame dungeons untill later on in the game, lv 75 dungeons are much more fun, and party dungeons are just plain fun.
you hate the auto mp potions? im guessing you didnt get to lv10 and try to combo without them. comboing adds depth to the game and with out mp auto potions it would be very hard to combo, especially when you combo using lots of skills.
quests are mindless and retarded? is this your first mmo? and you didnt even bother to read the quests.
so to be fair to people looking for opinions on the game, you obviously tried it for a few minuets and were going to hate it regardless of how the game actually is.
I loved this game for about a week or two, but then I hit level 40 and found myself fairly bored of it.
It's a well-done free-to-play MMORPG. Does it not seem deep enough (e.g. not enough skills)? Is it grindy? Of course, what part of "free-to-play MMORPG" did you not understand? However, so far as overcoming these limitations are concerned, Cabal Online does a reasonably good job.
I think that the main feature that really impressed me about this game was the combo system and this is for one reason: it gives the players something difficult to master. Very few MMORPGs will do that, instead they'll just hook you up to the grind and make you fill those experience bars. Where's the challenge in that? Where's the genuine gameplay quality? Gone in a flood of achievement-related bullshit. The Combo system was such an incredible breath of fresh air that I wish every MMORPG had a similar mechanic.
However, such a mechanic wasn't enough to cover up for getting quests that involved killing around 100 of the same kind of mob, which is what happens by about level 40. That's okay if I'm enjoying myself with the combo system, but I can only get so much enjoyment out of playing this timing game. Give me some diversified content, too!
If you've got the patience for that entire thing, more power to you. If not, avoid Cabal Online. Hell, save yourself the trouble and avoid the enitre MMORPG genre. A MMOG with something as interesting as the combo system comes along maybe once a decade.
To the guy above me, thanks. I really wanted to know how this game played. The person above you while I was reading his statements, it really did sound like he was looking to hate the game at the very beginning. The lack of skills he mentioned and how every armor class looked alike, well thats every FTP MMO out there. In fact thats why there FTP and not P2P. People should really play the game to atleast lvl 30 before giving a final judgement. If you can't make it than maybe that this game isn't just your cup of tea. But to be honest, people should try to play the games all the way to lvl 30 atleast before giving there final review. Because so far people over hype or trashing this game, theres no fine line. As is every mmo. GAME ONE EVERYBODY.
I was playing on the EU cabal for several months now, and I must say this is one of the best free-to-play MMORPG's out there. It has nice graphics, cool skills and also gives a variety in gameplay (eg. combo system, instanced dungeons etc.). At higher levels, it is very recommended to play in a party, where you have your own role, and thus the grinding doesn't get too boring, since you have to watch what you do (skills, movement etc).
The recently featured War System is a really good idea, too, but since it isn't quite balanced and has got some faults, it doesn't give the real nation vs. nation battle experience.
Leveling isn't that hard (compared to other similar MMOs), instead, there is skill farming. This is really boring and repetitive, and that's why I got bored with the game. Skills are much more important than levels, and it can be a real hassle to get to a decent skill level, and the only way to do this is to kill thousands of monsters, with the same skills over and over again. Just try it and you will see. I wasn't patient enough for that.
So, this game is fun, but as all f2p mmo's, it does get grindfest after a while, but until then, you will have an experience with this game you've never had so far with a free to play mmorpg. Good luck
im currently at the level cap for open beta, but not the skill cap. so all i have to do atm is grind. most of the games i use to play this would be the end for me, too boring, not the case with cabal. great pvp and grinding on mobs is really fun with the combo function. combos ad a challange to the usual click on mob+spam hot keys, repeat. it requires skill on your part to combo +11 times and to jump to a new mob while comboing, trying to master this is difficult and will make the time fly as you grind.
i cant wait for the nation wars to start after ob ends.
I hate to go off topic but what's the lvl and skill cap?
Let's face it, Cabal is a great game, but some how it's just to plain. it is just like you are playing a game and think been there done that
Beacuse you typed "ppl" instead of "people" and used four question marks.
That is why.
There are two kinds of people in this world. People who pick their nose.. and liars.
Now why did that statement make no sense to me?
Now why did that statement make no sense to me?
What he meant to write was:
"Let's face it, Cabal is a great game, but somehow it's just too plain. it is just like you are playing a game and think, 'been there, done that.' "
Quotation marks and proper spelling are your friends!
That said, I'm not sure if I'd say Cabal Online is plain, exactly. It's more like if you've played a MMORPG before then you already know how they work and Cabal Online doesn't have many unique features. The best things it has going for it are the combo system and the nice animations and eventually you'll get bored of those.
Still, it's a pretty good game so far as F2P games go. Most of them suck, this one is actually fun, at least for awhile.
one thing i hate the most about cabal is its inventory and storage. other than that the game is too plain and simple that's why i keep playing till now and lvl 60 because its PLAIN AND SIMPLE!
when they released the premium cash shop i was shocked at the price because its too high for a game that almost doesnt have any contents except those flashy stuff and high jumping from warrior class. what else? umm at lvl 40 i acquire the astral board skill but its useless but you have to spend around $37USB to use it? OMG! im shocked!
So I decided not to spend a dime on this game because the premium is too high and its last for 90 days.....umm 90 days is not enough for solo gamers. solo games only login once awhile to play cuz they have many other important thigns in life to do.
The shout feature they implemented is for gold seller spamming! i was OMG i can't see a text chat from anyone except all these gold seller spamming.........
Oh Yeah! did I mention the COMBO SYSTEM is useless?
Bye F2P Games 4 Eternity....I am now P2P Warrior.
Aion - Tower of Eternity here I come! Im aiming to play game when it release!!!!!!!!!
Why do so many ppl hate any game...stop friggen complaining!
Kemih ~ 13 Red Mage | Currently playing FFXI & LOTRO, awaiting Warhammer Online & Aion...
Nah dude im ALL for trolling and bashing games when I hate them, Granted Cabal is not a 10/10 mmorpg. The graphics do totally suck. I wouldn't give them over a 5/10 at this point. Its support team is lame and never helps you with troubles and game problems. Its GM team is lacking in effort and its the easiest game to hack that I have played. But putting all that aside its a good game for a free game. Its better than Lineage 2, WAY better than Sword of the new world, and unlike 99% of the Korean Grind fest games out there, It at least gives you xp when you turn in a quest AND gives you quests that don't just involve mindless killing you get to go to dungeons where you get to solve mazes and puzzles, you get to talk to npc's to develop the story and yes you get to grind to collect items or for killing sakes. But at least you get a intermediate goal on your way to the level cap, so its not 1 of those KOREAN games that you start you grind 100 levels with no purpose what so ever except the level cap and then you pvp in the end. And This is the first time Some 1 complains about the attacks being way to flashy...seriously most people WANT flashy.
Okay, the graphics aren't the best but the engine is good. I love the fact that the clothes and the hair move in time to the body and with the blows of the weapon.
has the potential to become a good game if the game's graphics were better. but right now, it just like runescape 3.0 with the abitlities divided into classes :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
so yea......
as of know,
it sucks
agreed !
f2p are never worth it
honestly if cabal didn't have the feature where you can put your own music in the juke box I don't know if I'd be still playing. BUT since I can listen to my sweet tunes the grinding is almost fun! lol get some mortal kombat pumpin in the back ground then not use the combo system cuz the game lags a lil too much for timing to really work so I just stock up on MP and boom watch out baddies!

Started playing this game about a week ago (I'm now 44). I love the game. The find the main storyline intriguing, and the side quests are fun. (Deighton's Past cracked me up) To those who say it is "grindy", please name me an MMO that isn't. Sure, some quests require you to kill 99 creatures, but it doesn't take long at all to finish them. (Creatures die rather quick when you are killing 3 at a time). The only things I don't like so far are 1) the community (some are really immature and ks'ing is rampant) 2) the spammers (I treat them as a mini-game with the block feature. /block FTW) 3) Having to wait seven days if you want to be a premium member (first time buyers only) 4) Haven't needed them yet, but rumor has it that the GM's are a little lax.
