Rubies of Eventide - Heres How to Play!!!

okay for awhile now i've been seeing all these people "where do i download", "why cant i set up account" and stuff like that... so here we go, the step by step instructions on how to get in and play RIGHT NOW...

okay 1st thing you want to do is download the game... this can be done here...

now after you grab the game you want to install it... simple task just unsip the file and click on "rubiesCC93" and after that is done click on "CCpatchv94" and finally "CCpatchv95" to update it...

now here comes the part that most people are having problems with... creating an account and logging in...

all you have to do is go to www.cyberwar.com (the official site of the new owners of RoE) and go into their forums... in the general disucussion you should find a link to account creation place (or you can go here http://66.111.33.41/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=10285&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1 to skip all that...)

after you're done creating an account simply go back into that unzipped RoE folder (dont just use the icon on your desktop as chances are it wont work...) and double click on "RubiesLauncher"... the rest is pretty self explanitory...

ANYWAYS have fun in RoE ^^

EDIT: for those who dont know, Rubies of Eventide is an MMORPG that used to be around not too long ago but shut down due to lack of funds... rescently however this new company has purchased the game and is now running it FREE!!!... donations are welcome though ^^... they gotta make there money somehow right?

    im pretty sure the DL i linked to comes with the 2 patches... well seeing as thats what i used and im playing the game as we speak =/

    I get login server down,  you really play right now ?

     

    I havent got it to work a single time, always login server down.

    you forget one important thing (or i missed it)

    when you install the two patches, you need to take the two exe files you downlaoded and put them in the game directory replacing the originals there.

     

    in few hours if things go well or on monday if they screw up, there sill be new installer in one piece, smaller in size and muhc faster to install.

    replace who with what?... i dont remember ever having to do that... everything i did is in the walkthrough i gave and everything worked perfectly fine for me =/...

    those 2 patches... i just double clicked them and they bassically self-installed and then all i had to do was create an account and log in... not to mention they came with the file from that site anyways so you dont need to download anything extra...

    oh and Armor... make sure you're running the game with "RubiesLauncher" which is in the folder you download (not the desktop icon)...

    and GunBlade, that page does refresh itself but then a smaller screen comes up asking whihc server you wish to download from (free server has 200 person max)...

    it seems http://accounts.jihadmud.com/ is down, when I go there to try to make a new account I get this.

    The account creation script is offline at the moment. Please check back soon.

    Is this something new or should I really check back soon?image
