Oh yes the content alone is worth paying for to me. So thought others I will do the pre-order with at the same time. 128 page graphical novel!!! over 200 pages of art-work!!! A mousepad! The miniature is nice too but I've painted and built enough of theese already though

Where did it say you get a mouse pad? I just checked what mmorpg.com said the CE included and I didnt see anything about a mouse pad in there.
I like the idea of a mousepad. The rest doesn't really do much for me as I'm not much into artwork besides it being ingame.
I would have preferred an OST myself ^^

I'm particularly interested in the extra faces that you get for your characters because i hate looking like anyone else. They always have the same thing, where they have like 15 faces... but one is clearly a lot more appealing than the others so everyone goes for it! This will give me more chance of being unque
I'm not really much of a collector but because Warhammer is a HUGE brand you really feel like there will be demand just for the aspect of collecting it for the name. I bet there will be loads of people who pre-order with no intention of ever playing the game - they just want the boxset.
Most CEs are just an ego enlargement.
128 pages graphic novel which I may look through once and then lay somewhere, the same goes for the art-work... 200 pages, I will probably not even be focused enough to go through all that! I already have a very good mousepad, it's not like I need another one. If you've read through the previous comment you may guess what I think about the miniature; it will just stand around being in the way. But the other in-game stuff... I simply can't decide what I should do.
Titles, quests, stupid looking character heads and open beta access! All these stuff is great for some kind of lame ePeening, and yet I know myself that I want it. I must say that the price the game goes for currently is way to much for me. I wish they could have a Collector's Edition without all those (stupid) graphic novels and so on, which would sell at a lower price.
I am sure you will see the codes for items and such on ebay and the like if that is what you are looking for. I must agree with the others though, for an MMORPG CE, this has to be the best one by far!
The CE is definitely worth getting! Though, why do people order it 6 months before release?
Because there are only 60k available! Thats not very many considering most new MMOs in recent yrs have had like 250k to 500k subs within the first few months.
They sell out 1st, ppl like having all the shiny~shiny extras!

Well I don't know how the EAStore works with pre-orders but Amazon doesn't charge u a cent until the game is ready to ship. However if you goto Best Buy, Gamestop, EB Games, etc you paying ur hard earned cash right then and now, and it just sits in their bank until the game comes out!
So ur out nothing using Amazon, and have a guaranteed copy of the CE waiting for release. I would not have gone to one of the other stores and gave them the $80 dollars for 6+ months...
...and if you wait for another few months, most likely all the CEs will be gone if they aren't already. The only way you'll really be able to get one will prolly be on ebay for double maybe even triple the retail price.

You get it now so you have it. They will sell out and that's that. Personally I got my two and was VERY happy.
IF the game somehow never releases... then I'll get my money I have down back. Not the end of the world.

You will get ur Open Beta access code that guarantees u a spot in it since its gonna be limited unlike most OBs. You can enter that code now to ur account so Mythic knows u pre-ordered the CE.The 2nd code is an early start once the retail version is rdy....it'll prolly be like 2-3 days early access before retail non-CE players will be able to get in. Supposedly we'll still be able to play using the early start codes until our boxes arrive in the mail, then enter our real codes.
The 3rd code is for access to all the extra in-game goodies that comes with the CE purchase.
Codes 2 and 3 cannot be entered in yet as the website for these is not open yet, more than likely won't be until the OB starts!

Also be reminded that some places don't have codes left. If you order from the EA Store you will get your codes in April.
I gotta be honest..... The CE blows and there is no incentive to preorder. This game has bad news written all over it. EA must be behind this bullshit.
Honestly Ive put my pre-order down at gamestop and all i had to pay thus far was 10 bucks. Truly i am very much looking forward to this game wishin i was in the Beta but sadly i am still waiting. automatic spot in OB was enough of a reason for me to order the CE, the novel and art book are major bonus though the mini im not so into. Im Here because Mythic is behind the game the fact that its a massive and well known IP is bonus.

What did you expect from a CE? Compare it to the other MMORPG CE's out there and tell me how this one "blows".
I think its obvious that all MMO CE suck.... I have never been pleased with any. The only one with potential is AoC and thats because it includes unique items that no other MMO CE has offered before. But even that one is overpriced imo. My best suggestions is NEVER preorder.
You may think it blows but it is still better than any other MMORPG CE out there to date.

On to the "unique items no other MMO CE has offered before", the sad thing is that I'll be able to use WoW for most if not all of these (as an example and by no means the definitive list).

Hand-Finished Collectors Edition Box <--- super duper nifty box? the wow box was pretty hefty, reasonably designed but I don't remember them listing it as a bonus to the CE.rofl
Hyborian World Leather Map <--- There was a map in the WoW CE as well, it was supposed to be nicer than what it ended up but oh well... wonder if the aoc one will be made of pleather or sommat?
Unique Bonus DVD <--- Again... WoW had it.
Official Age of Conan Soundtrack <--- Yup, WoW had their own soundtrack too.
Age of Conan Art Book (128 pg.) <--- WoW had it's own Art Book as well (206 pg.)
The Drinking Cape (Bonus In-game Item) <--- Ingame items? WoW
Guest Passes <--- WoW gave a couple of these as well.
Oh wait! AoC is also giving a shiny sticker! <-- dang, got me here. WoW didn't give any shiny stickers...
All WoW did was include a second set of installation disks (one DVD disk and a set of CDs) so you could give them to a friend or keep them as back ups.
Many other games have included one or more of the very same types of "unique items that no other MMO CE has offered before". Though I don't remember the last time a game tried to sell me a CE via the promise of a box and a sticker.
I'm by no means a WoW fan anymore but I gotta give credit where it is due, dig?

I'd have to say that WAR is up there in regards to CE offerings and I am extremely excited by the WAR CE overall. Now if only it boasted a titanium casing and a glittery temp tattoo...

Yeah thats so exciting a mount that can only be used in borderland skirmishes at lvl 80! ...and in light of most free incentive like this there is the crowd that will complain that they had no access to such with the CE being limited and this mount will either become free to all with or without the CE or an in-game purchase.
