Thirteen1, a brand new and completely free to read MMO e-zine has just launched.
Released on the 13th of every month at 1PM it aims to bring coverage and shed light on all those things that really matter in the online gaming world. The e-magazine is completely free, there’s no time consuming downloads and is packed with content.
“We aim to bring you informative and quirky articles about all of the relevant issues affecting games and gamers in the industry. It even includes those hidden corners you probably don’t know about…but most definitely should. You don’t want huge articles and neither do we, that’s why we get to the point and have fun while we are doing it!” Comments the thirteen1 editorial team.
“It’s no lie that there’s a lack of MMO magazines out there, and those that do exist are forgetting that the core element of online gaming is about having fun!
Thirteen1 hasn’t forgotten, and that’s why its editors have put a ban on the boring details that litter the rest.

From the seemingly irrelevant to the massively obvious, from comic strips to competitions, mass-debating and a funny little man named Dre, thirteen1 taps right back into the original pull of gaming.
Thirteen1 is a completely independent publication, so all the content is written from the editors perspective and no-body else!
The magazine is made by gamers for gamers, check it out today…and then on the 13th of every month at 1PM!

The first issue had a great layout and lots of flash, but as far as real content it was a piece of trash. The only real MMO it showed was Cabal Online, which is a sad excuse for an online game. Also, from the 2 pictures in the front, it looks as if the guys doing this are kids and the site and content of the e-zine shows that. I may check issue 2, but the look, feel and content of this really does not impress me and the first issue focusing on mostly browser based games hints at something less then what the average MMORPG.com member would want to look at.
Thank you for taking the time to post about Thirteen1 magazine.
We aim to cover games of all areas, from the up-and-coming blockbusters titles to the little gems that are tucked away in the hidden corners of the internet..
I'm pleased you found the magazine visually appealing, our graphics guy will get a big head about that one.
You mentioned reading issue 2 and i (of course) recommend you do.
The first issue of any magazine is naturally a proof of concept that's hoping to make a blinding impression with the correct people.
Thirteen1 - Issue 1 has achieved that and, as a result, issue 2 is going to be rammed with a whole load of up-to-date content, competitions and exclusives. The big guys are impressed, and we only have to drop names like Sony, Eidos, Flagship (more...) to give you an idea of the magazines future.
I agree that the content of our magazine is different, however i feel the word "trash" was a harsh one to use. Could you please elaborate on that one?
And as for us been "kids", a team in their early-to-mid twenties is hardly a group of minors now is it...
Any other comments and feedback will be greatly appreciated and taken on board.
