You forgot Chronicles of the Spellborn, and Aion: Tower of Eternity. Both up-and-comers before the end of summer (supposedly).

So, I will be playing one of those, and probly lotro (lifetime sub), maybe warcrack too.

It just shows HOW far off MMORPG.COM has driven off from the MMO market.
Interesting is that NOT ONE of the MMORPG's that were launched in the last 2 years attained more than 0.9%  ! ! ! (LOTRO).

Ok, the question was... "What will you be playing?"... Not "What are you playing?"

mmorpg.com hasn't driven off from the MMO market, it just represents the veteran players of MMOs. I've been registered here since 2003, even though my post count suggests I'm not that active. This is not to make us sound elitist... But rather we've been seeing WoW for quite sometime, I remember when it came out most people hailed it like the second coming of christ... Today with all the WoW clones, it doesn't seem that special.

Also consider that mmorpg.com has A LOT of wannabe devs(Me included). So we've usually become somewhat obsessed with pin pointing the gameplay weakness' of the various games out there... Reason why they all suck (We obviously could do better with limitless resources.)

In short mmorpg.com hasn't driven off the MMO market... mmorpg.com has just been on the MMO market highway for too long and wants to take a leak.

That site does not have FACTS, it's mostly educated guesses from someone who reads as much info about MMO's as possible.

At best, most of the numbers on that site are a guess.  It's not reliable nor is it FACT.

And people wonder why there are so many "WOW sucks!!!" threads.  Well, here you go.

If you want to cram that game into every, single, converstation and repeatedly remind everyone on here of exactly how many people play it...

Playing WoW right now, but voted for AoC. If AoC is playable on my machine and is as good as it looks to me right now, then my vote is correct. Otherwise, I'm hoping Wrath of the Lich King comes out and I can get my Pally to level 80 by year's end.

DDO & LOTRO are definite.  Will probably try AoC and Warhammer [though like WoW, Warhammer's graphics seem a bit too cartoony - at least on the Ork side].

Not an MMO, but I'm very impatiently waiting for Fallout 3 [and a Fallout MMO!]

I myself will be playing the best MMO on the market. An actual MMO that forces players to team up. Final Fantasy XI.

  • Dragon71UKDragon71UK Member Posts: 86

Persoanlly I shall be playing AOC.

As for forced grouping. why , just because it`san MMO does that mean you have to group. There are other reasons for playing one. Better support/expansions, expanding and changing world (sonmetimes).

It`s nice to see other people areound, but don`t meant I want too team with them.

Also the chat is nice for those quiet times, when regen'ing, or travelling.

Apart from that I usually play solo, and love it!

Nothing wrong with choice, but forcing aint right!

Played WOW (5 years), AOC, AO, EQ2,AC2, Horizons, Saga of Ryzom, SWG, CO, STO(Beta),ROM, Allods, and many other F2P titles. Asl been in beta for many of the main titles and played countless SP games. I have been gaming for 15+ years!

Ill be playing WAR.  Althought i havent done as much research on other games as I should the others coming dont really intrest me.

Played : WOW, LOTRO, COH/COV, EQ2, SWG, and WAR.
    Playing EVE Online and AOC.
    Wtg for SW:TOR and WOD

    EVE Online

OK, in addition to EVE (cause you never really quit EVE) I'll think I'll end up playing WAR, assuming of course they actually release it.

But I won't count out AION or TCOS, or AOC, I'm looking for the best game experience and will stick with the one that delivers what I'm really looking for.

I will be playing Warhammer Online OR WoW. Depending on how good WAR turns out to be.

Definitely Warhammer, but  Chronicles of the Spellborn looks interesting.

    Spellborn and/or Warhammer!

Spellborn has the most interesting fightsystem.

Warhammer has the most interesting PvP-part.
