I just wondered ? I don't think I have ever seen one in EvE? Has anyone? Or is it true what they say?
Are girls just too stupid to play EvE?

Dj Dawny of EvE-Radio plays EVE. She may be 60+ but she's still all woman!
And yeah i got atleast 2 in my alliance (small alliance) and know of say 3 others outside of the alliance. But it is very small in retrospect to how many men there are in the game, like most mmorpg's out there

Not having the patience to work through Eve is okay.
Running around the forums making posts to bash Eve or its playerbase is not.

well there are 5% of woman (ccp say that)
but the game is not very attractive for woman and avatar eye candy players
there are woman playing eve and most of them are very good at what are doing ( me point at foyle )

5 minutes? Excuse me that was someone else I have played EvE since release and am still an avid player. But women players are simply rare. I didn't mean any offense I was just attempting to be comical. Of course if you can't dress up your toon in pretty colorful clothing eye candy girls are most likely not gonna like it.
Then excuse me, but you should really learn how to quote people.
I have met a few girls in Eve, mainly as 0.0 producers and industrialists, but also some (very good) scouts in fleet.
Actually, it is pretty interesting how they affect fleet performance on teamspeak. Much less cursing during ops. :P

people get REALLY nice when she gets on TS.
In EVE-uni a few of the instructors are female one sounds brit to top it off ( im a sucker for any accent not Texas).

As far as women players are concerned i have met some in the corps Ive been a member of so yea they are there and no women are not too stupid to play EvE. Ive never heard of such a saying in EvE myself.

One of the corporations in my alliance is run by a woman, however on the whole they are somewhat rare and I think CCP's estimate of 5% is probably about right.
It certainly isn't about female intelligence, rather its a known fact that different things in games appeal to women vs men.
Aesthetics are very important to most women, and the lack of avatars that you can customize (which turns a lot of male players off) affects women even more.
Also, in general, (but not always of course) hardcore pvp appeals more to males than females.
Finally, women tend to not follow the science fiction genre as much as fantasy (basing this observation on fantasy book sales vs sci-fi books sales numbers that I've read about) so it also limits their participation in EVE. (male players favor fantasy too, btw)

in the corp i was in eve, had 3 women, including my wife, so im sure there are more in other corps, it seemed to me the women that played eve where the brainy types, and not suit my toon up to be bimbo sexy type, I always enjoyed the conversations with one of our female members who was a chemist for some big company in australia, i tried to talk her many times on ventrillo to make me every chemical in the book phikal and thikal, but of course she had standards and practices and refused lol.

The CEO of my last corp was Female, was the best leader I have ever encountered in any MMO. Sadly I and the rest of the corp had conflicting views and I had to leave.
Every Corp I have been in has at least one female, they are around. Lurking in the shadows....

I know of at least 4 girls that i deal with on a daily basis within the game, 1 being my girlfriend.
They play, and what CCP says where they state 5% is pretty accurate, but you'll often find the ones that play EVE aren't the type that will sit in local telling everyone who will listen that they are a woman.
Often, due to the low amount of female players staying with the game, those that do stay are very good and as has been previously stated, often are ruthless.
I've met 2 girls in my first corp, a girl from my country, one from eve-uni and now 4 in the corp I'm currently in. This makes it 8, which I think is quite a number :P

Of course there are. It would be statistically improbable for them not to be. And according to CCP's CSM stats, three females applied (one of which made a campaign video featuring themselves).
In other MMOs I have played, you rarely find out someones gender until they speak over Vent/TS/in-gamechat etc., which is probably to prevent the prepubescent teenagers from spamming them with "u wnaa cyberz!!11??" every 2 minutes.

Girls ? I don't think I ever run into girls playing EVE. Hell I have yet to run into boys. Of course women I have run into in EVE along with men.

actually, what "they" say is -- most people are too stupid to play eve. not girls, women, chickies, hotties, chicas, etc; but, people in general. reminds me of a post i quoted recently.
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?

I've played eve, and as far as the replies go, quite a few have, so its obvious you're just too stupid to look for them.

Ive run in to quite afew girls playing eve,the only difference if noticed between girls that play eve and girls that play other games such as WoW etc is that none of the girls ive met in eve were in a high-ranking possition or ever in command of anything.Guess corporate/alliance iron fist rule isnt for girls.
How does XxAngelxX fit into that picture, airstrike?
