The Open Beta is finished now and i just wanted to thanks Funcom for the fun most of us had in this event!

I hear that a couple of days ago, they patched OB with the same patch they used on closed beta last week (which gave mammoth increase in performance), is that correct?

Yup, despite the early bugs and issues and countless 'discussions' on here, it finished on a high and am looking forward to live...

I thought it was going longer until yesterday. Some folks are saying there's a patch and the servers might go back up later but I suspect it's over. (I won't uninstall until tomorrow though
)

I couldnt even find casila again
Wow..what a great few days i have had in OB. And for those of you who got ganked over and over in the valley, i stealthed for miles and miles over two zones away, past the dead fields and into the snow capped mountains. Let me tell you this...they picked that valley for a reason, it was closed in on either side and forced you on top of each other, perfect for there testing. The places i saw beyond where vast and glorious, and also running at stupid frame rates because there was not another sole in sight in the new zones.
Cant wait for release, can't wait to play this stunning game once more. I hope that we have given them enough info to streamline there systems. I look forward to playing with some of the guys from this site who show their excitment for this game also, and i also look forward to all those people who want to trash about this game to disappear in to the next hyped up game to do the same there.
I wanted this game to be good, I am old enough to see what is in front of me for what it is. I am not disapointed. Amazing.

Yea...I know...it is sad. I was loving the total chaos that was OB today. I love PvP and this was so much like old school DT it made me tear up a bit when we were kicked because the servers were dropped.
It's not that bad. I've actually done weeks of work upfront and stated that I'm going on vacation with my girlfriend from 17th to 25th. Anyone know what's the real reason? *is ashamed*

I could not have summed up the last 24 hours of my life any better. This is going to be one long week...
Good to hear it went well for all. I felt some issues with the FFA pvp. And the fact i do not like full open pvp :-p
Hopefully i can get the game on the 20th. if not, meh. Hopefully a friend will buy it and i can snatch a buddy-pass of him/her

I'd like to thank funcom for a fun beta, not much was done events wise but sometimes its nice to be left to it.

After the pvp weekend event I had my doubts about AoC, the open beta was soooo much better in all respects. AoC seems to have a solid fundation: nice selection of classes, fun gameplay and awesome universe. So some balancing, bug weeding and optimization is needed, but it will come in time, I am sure of it. For now I can't wait for my early access to begin... great job Func(r)om! Keep it up!
Anywho had a great time and see you all in 6 days!
Closed beta servers are down for maintance and should be back up in like 2-3 horus, so GTA4 for me till then
Edit: We are talking about OPEN beta here, not closed. So yes they are closed for good.
