Need help picking a free MMORPG
Hello,
I played this when it first came out and it wasn't too bad but it lagged to bad on my old internet connection when I was in town and it had the memory leak type problem. Anwyays I have been looking for a free MMO to play and I was thinking of starting this up again but I have found a couple other MMORPG's that look interesting. I live in the United States btw.

Perfect World--if it can be played in the US.
Shaiya
Rappelz
I use to play FLYFF but I got board since I played it sense early english beta testing. I am looking for a game to replace Final Fantasy XI pretty much. I use to play it quite a bit but I am now poor and married etc..

You can try Cabal Online. The graphics and gameplay is not bad.
If you want I could trade ya my Cabal account with L59 almost 60 force bladers, (great pvper and pve) rank as the best class in the game. For you final fantasy XI account?

Well i am waiting for Darkall, so i was looking for a F2P mmo to hold me over. I am telling you try Sword of the new world. it is very different. You control 3 characters at once, makes for some very interesting strategies. Also Perfect World was rather nice for a F2P game.
I don't recommend Perfect World if you having lag issue since i get 2-3 seconds lag from 3mb DSL connection from USA. That's enough lag to annoy you when you're in battle but it's playable. Shaiya is good but a little laggy for me on 2nd server. Rappelz is ok... I didn't play for long thou. You can check out MMOSite for F2P game release if you haven't found some on this site already.
if you are looking for a really good game that uses skill no grinding involves go rakion. i have been playing this game since march 2007 and my mates played wow so i gave it a crack but it has nothing on this game. Shayia isnt bad i quit like it pvp is wicked. but it takes a while to walk any where. but its probably your best bet after rakion.

If you liked Flyff you might try Holic or Scions of Fate. http://www.netgame.com/ runs both of them along with a few other games. Other then that Shaiya or Cabal are pretty enjoyble games if you are looking for a more standard asian style grinding mmo.
